I was wondering if anyone had some tips for me:
i wanted to try FIMing next time or topping, or sea of green. Any big obstacles?
i had a mildue problem. i used zero tolerance, but could only control it, not rid myself of it. Anyone have success against powder mildue?
Can someone give me a PPM calendar? veg-flowering.

Im really fresh to this. i just learned not to use nutrients in the final phase. so any innovative sh*t that u guys do to get good, healthy, gorgeous crops would really be great.
how important is RO water?:confused::confused:

Obviously you need to go to class, its hard to answer all these questions and you would be better off reading other threads and such to learn. Nobody wants to sit and type answers to big beefy questions all day. It kills my high sometimes.

I don't think Say No wasn't trying to be an asshole. We try to help everyone we can but sometimes it can get repetitive answering the same questions for everyone all day. Try and sit back and read threads for a couple weeks and you will learn alot. If there are any specifics you want help with ask. I mean, you pretty much asked about everything there is to due with growing.

If you want to learn about fimming/topping start a thread asking what exactly you want to know about it. If you want to learn of SoG and SCRoG grows search for them and you'll find a ton. I can't help with the powdery mildew problem you have because I've never gotten a disease problem on the my plants, but maybe someone else has.

There are a hundred different feeding schedules people have posted as well. Most nutrients have the feeding schedules on them as well if you are unsure. And yes the plants don't need more nutes towards the end of their flowering unless you are looking to smoke some chemical bud. And flush your plants if you use nutes at the end of flowering.

What do you mean by RO water?

RO water is what I use, I tried hooking up to city water, they wouldn't let me. Spent a couple hundred bucks on it. I wouldn't have done that for a few plants. VV

Thanks Mal, he is right. I only try to help others out, never tell someone to piss off. This is a very peacefull place, i get on here in my spare time to talk to alot of good people and help others out. As far as your problems go with growing im sorry. I also have never had your mildew problem so I dont know what to say. But i know when fellow users need alot of help the post a thread that ask's alot and nobody really want answer it because of how long it takes. I saw this thread with 0 replies as it was getting ready to pass onto a previous page. And i am sure you would be very dissipointed to post this, get off, get on the next day and realize nobody replied to your thread. So i did what i only thought was nice and replied telling you the nobody wants to sit and type all the anwers to those questions. Like Mal said, those are very very commonly asked questions. So that is why i suggested that you may read and learn from other threads. This way you can learn new things that will help down the road and find the answers to your questions. You learn more reading the book then having some tell you the story. So god luck with your growing, and sorry for giving you the impression of an asshole. Like i said, this place is full of alot of great people. You wont find many assholes here.

say no, u posted 5 secs after i did... and u didnt need to say the things u said, if no one wants to answer, they dont have to. i asked for help, not demanded. ive been here for a while. my first crop i ditched, this one went to hell. and i invested a lot in it. i love it. i want to not eff it up next time. its a discouraging thing to say to a new comer. completely unexpected.
anyways ive been through the forums like no other. even read a couple of the important stickys three times over. written them down. ive found a ppm sched. i want to hear another. i have friends, they say opposite things to the forums. not exactly to work with that.....
thanks for everything. mildew blows. guess ill just dip.

And like we both said, if you are still having major problems like you say, then it's time to sit back and read more threads because obviously you are doing something wrong.

In my opinion you shouldn't have to spend more than fifty dollars on your first grow. Therefore don't spend money until you know what you're doing. Create a simple ten dollar CFL grow to see if you can really do. If you can, then it's time for the upgrade. Don't invest all kinds of time and money if you keep striking out growing.

And you say you've been here for awhile but your join date is only Nov 2007 which in my opinion means you haven't watched anyone's full grow on this site, therefore keep reading and learning!

And what do you mean you had to spend hundreds on a certain type of water? Don't you have running water at your house? Use your own house water just let it sit out overnight if you're worried about chemicals and other things in the water.

If you're friends are telling you the opposite things as people are saying on here, then you're friends probably have a minimal understanding of growing. The people on here give the advice they give because it works. Like we both said, if you are having this hard of a time growing, go back and start reading threads again and PARTICIPATE in threads. You only have twelve posts which makes me believe that you haven't even participated in many threads yet therefore you are only reading not learning.

As for the powder mildew, had a similar problem 4-5 years ago until i upped my venting.

To prevent and control powdery mildew, exchange air frequently and keep humidity down to 40%.

A sulphur based product will kill moulds, mildew and fungi, but can leave a bad taste in the final product if used too near to harvest.

Pine oil is organic, and I personally choose the organic option if possible, and biodegradable and will control the problem without affecting taste.
