Hi all,

I would really appreciate it if someone could explain or provide a link to a detailed description of how to connect a fan (pc fan) to a carbon scrubber.

I dont know anything about electonics!

thanks in advance!

A pc fan is really not strong enough to move air through a carbon scrubber. First you need to figure out how many cubic feet needs to be scrubbed and work from there. Get a scrubber that will meet the CFM to scrub the air every 5 minutes. Then you need to match the fan with the area's cfm rating. Some smaller scrubbers have built in fans and some are stand alone units that need ducting and inline fans. I hope that helps some.

duct tape and multiple fans in a row should fix the CFM problem. just make sure all the fans are blowing the same direction.

thats a good idea - was looking into that already. Think i will put two together.

Its great how cheap, light, and fairly silent PC fans are.

I just dont know really how to power them. Did see something somewhere about powering them with a 12v charger (like a mobile phone charger).

Does anyone know if thats a good idea?

Cheers guys for the help!

For some reason I cant gewt anything to link right anymore... anyway copy paste
9v - 12v spare from a phone charger will work. Just splice the wires and only use the black and red wires. The yellow wire (if present) on the PC fan is for RPM monitoring - just clip it
