Help with CFL vegging

So i have a 125 watt fluorowing(67k) and a homeade rig with 133 watts total (4 35k and 2 27k).. Both lights come to 258 watts alltogether. Just looking for any ideas on how to hang it all so i get the most out of it also wondering if someone can help with whitish stuff on bottom stem in one of the pics.P1010010_400x300.JPGP1010005_400x300.JPGP1010011_400x300.JPGP1010014_400x300.JPGFirst one is sour diesel and behind is purple voodoo i'm lsting both and trying to clone 1 of each

good job on that diy light fixture man. First off those lights need to be 2-3 inches away at all times.

Do you have a fan in there? if not that might be the problem with the white stuff, coupled with overwatering. How often do you water? what kinda soil is that looks like it retains a LOT of water. How big is your space. how about you give me all the details you can lol.

my room is about 3ftx5ft. watering is about every 3 or 4 days depending on weather and i only water if they dont feel heavy when i pick em up. I also only water till i have a little runoff. I was using a humidifier to get rh up to 60% and think that caused the problem with whitish stuff(Inow just let rh stay whatever it is in house which is around 30 to 35% and they dont seem to mind. I also have a fan and access to fresh air within room. The soil is ffof straight outta the bag.. What else do you need and any advice how to permanantly hang lighting

yea lower that rh and get a fan blowing on them or oscillating that should get rid of the white stuff. glad your going by weight for watering thats a great method.

put an eye hook or 2 or more in the ceiling, then hang them from there. next time if you can add some perlite to your ffof. make it drain a little better. i line the bottom of my smart pots with a half inch if perlite so it drains very well.
