True. But, in reality, nobody has to do anything.

The threat is right there:

Do this little thing for me and you won't have to pull up your crop early or worry about distribution. Cops, Feds, IRS, TV Stations, just smile and tell your friends I have a good neighbor who only wanted 8 oz.

Simply put, if the OP pays off the offender he has no worries in relation to his crop. The offender is offering 'protection.' But the protection only extends to the offender himself. The OP would remain in jeopardy from other informers.

Extortion pure and simple.

The offender assumes that the OP is growing illegally. All the more reason to let the rat bastard make the next move.

So, Dont go giving away any weed to someone who might not have the scrips. If you do decide to give him what he wants. I say poison the bud a bit, spray it with something nasty. that'll fuck him up good. As long as your legal, everything will be fine, dont worry about cops and whatnot. Just take him down one way or another. You cant sit back and just let it breeze by and not try to deal with it or this or that. Finish what he started.

Take the blackmail note and go straight to the police. If this little prick wants to get nasty he can say he bought weed off you in order to get back at you for not coughing up the 8 oz.

Im all for retribution/ revenge but this ass clown can still fuck you over so before he tries to pull some shit with the cops by saying you are selling to him, get to the cops first. If you dont and this kid pulls some shit the cops will ask why you didnt come to them in the first place which wont make you look good in their eyes.

At least if you say something to the cops first you appear more on the up and up in their eyes.

Now if I happened to get lucky enuff to catch the little fuck hanging around my house then I would take matters into my own hands but cover your ass and talk to the police first.

I'd consult my lawyer first then go to the police (assuming you are legal). They may question your legality, let them talk to your lawyer about that. I don't see how they can not set up the neighbor to nab him and charge him with something. Again, assuming you are legal.

Growing outdoors always leads to problems if the plants are visible at all. It should never be done. The fact that this guy hasnt just taken what he wanted means he wont turn you in most likely. He probably just wants some free weed. I would say the biggest risk is the blackmailer telling someone else who turns you in. No matter what, you will soon be the talk of the neiborhood if your recieving so much attention for growing marijuana. You and your buddies fucked up. If it was me, I would pull those pants and move. But if you own your property or have a lease it may take a long time to find someone to take the property over. So that may be an issue. Ultimately you are responsible for having a sloppy grow and putting your freedom at risk.

If you are really sure you are under your limits FUCK THIS LOW LIFE BLACKMAILING ASS CLOWN!!!!!!! Take your bag and put it out where he said with a lump of dog shit and a note telling him your legal. Include a copy of the state law. Let him know any attempt to blackmail you will result in legal action. There is a lot of theft going on in the medical marijuana world and cops here in Oregon Take it very seriously. Black mail and home invasion are a reality now. I would take some of the money and move out town a little bit. Better than having to shoot a snitch.

That situation fucking sucks dude. It doesn't matter if your grow is legal or not, what that jackass is doing is larceny. What blows is you don't have any legal options as your grow is against Federal Law, regardless of what the state law is. The only law you got in this situation is the one you take into your own hands, and that's never a good idea.

If it were me, I'd harvest immediately and forget it happened, taking matters into your own hands will only lead to trouble....after all you're the dude with the plants and that fucker probably has nothing. Then for a little fun, take a nice big shit into that grocery bag, put your stems and some cuttings on top and leave it for him. Chances are, if that guy was going to narc he would have done so already. I don't know about anyone else on this site, but if I had a buddy trying to pull this shit, I would kick the shit out of him on principal alone.

Karma will fuck this guy eventually

That's not so about the law. Legal or not the extortion is illegal. It would be state an local that would deal with that and if the grow is legal to them, it's not like they are going to call in the feds. We so seldom have the law on our side, we should use it when we do.

i like this idea, although i would also make them know that the grow is legal, and now they know who it is who is blackmailing them and if anything happens to their grow, their property or to the growers themselves it will result in legal action. they dont make med. mj cards for nothing. take a trip down to your local police station with the note and your medical mj papers and if the cops dont believe you that your grow is legal because of the note, then offer to show it to them, assuming your blackmailer does something. you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

find out who the fucker is

I agree with the "Labowski" idea, set a trap to see who it is (hell for all u know it's a relative) and u and some friends throw a scare into him/her. I'm sorry this has happened to you. People can be greedy and pathetic.

You need to take FDD's advice and just bring it to the police. At that point they know about the situation and it will help you in the long run. Any kind of justice you dish out yourself is just going to hurt your situation. Also take some other's advice and call a lawyer.
