Help with 4x4

So buddy wants to purchase this kit
630w de cmh w/ venti and 4x4 tent

And it come with 3100k de cmh 630w bulb with square wave Ballast, ventilation with charcoal filter, timer, and hangers with and a 4x4 tent.
He is looking for a quicker growing medium but with the quality and denser buds that ols or super soil can give but with faster grow times like hydro, is coco worth a shot?

Goal with this light in a 4x4 is 6-8 plants with 2-4week veg on first couple sets then maybe I can help him establish a mother after we can get plants and room dialed in for 15-30ounces every 2-3 months?hopefully

What else do you recommend he gets from the beginning?
Like a list or combo pack to buy with this kit and I can show him, I’m gonna help his with his setup for the most part to get him going I’ve known him a long time and don’t want to steer him to wrong?

Not a bad price, I normally see these whole set ups as very over priced.

Thing is though I couldn't keep a 4x4 with 630de cmh cool with a 4" filter , fan ect … and I live in a very cool to moderate climate.
So I would say the ventilation side of it isn't up to the job unless its real cold.

Yea I’ve grown a few times but this tent going to go into single car garage with very little insulation so I’m afraid next summer I’ll need to buy a window unit to cool the room or maybe even sooner

I'd suggest him starting in like Promix HP, and a good nute line like Mega Crop, really easy, or GH Flora Trio

which one allows tap water and we both are on hard well water, So a hard water nutemix would be nice, if anyone know of any?

I’ve only grown in soil outdoor and yes

here is current outdoor started 10weeks into flower today

had to transfer from 5 gal to 20 gal 3week flower cause of water issues from a ton of rain over a 4 week period but it’s a 12-16 week Sativa Dominant strain smells like oranges but the buds trichromes are still clear 75-85% and only the leaves have 1/3 amber ones so I figure I have a few weeks to go

one more question
I mixed 100% cow manure compost From daddy Pete’s and cut a peeling of orange into 1/4-1/2” pieces, a tbsp of unsulphured Molasses, 30ml of Neptune’s Harvest Fish emu and now it’s got some serious fungi production, I’ve stirred it right before picture and this all happened after 48 hrs the whole top of soil had white fuzzy so the question is should I add little pieces to each plant during transplant from seedling to veg then again at flower?
