Help wiring 150w hps ballast

Hello guys, I've been looking everywhere on this site, google, and on grasscity on how to setup an ansi s55 hps ballast. I received it today and when i opened the package, all i saw was the ballast and ignitor, no instructions or diagrams. So I went ahead and looked everywhere on google on how to set up this type of ballast but to no luck. I have seen these two diagrams

but can't understand some of the wiring. I know that the lamp wire connects to the lamp socket and the 120v wire connects to the wall. I'm clueless on the rest of the wiring. I will provide a picture for you guys to see and hopefully point me to the right direction.

That's all I have to work with. Thank you guys for taking your time to help me. Joe.

Your PDF diagram shows you exactly how to do it.
Where is your plug and lamp? The 120v goes to the plug and the lamp goes to the lamp. You should also have a ground for the plug and a ground and remote for the lamp.
In your diagram, the remote would be the white neutral wire. You also need the ignitor and the capacitor.

Well I made the mistake of not ordering the lamp socket with the ballast and bulb because I thought it'd come with it. But I already placed an order for the lamp socket.
What do you mean by plug?

"You should also have a ground for the plug and a ground and remote for the lamp.
In your diagram, the remote would be the white neutral wire. You also need the ignitor and the capacitor."

What you see in the picture is all it came with. I also thought the capacitor was optional. The ignitor is that white socket looking thing and it came connected to the ballast just how you see it in the pic.
See I've looked over & over the diagrams but for example, the diagram illustrating the wiring without the capacitor shows A3 connecting to the ballast.
For A1, it connects to the lamp wire and lamp socket wire(black) For A2, it connects to the lamp socket wire(white).
But with mines it ain't like that at all. Both A1 & A2 are connected to the ballast and A3 is loose. This is why it's confusing.
It's the same with the other diagram(http://www.icmag.com/gallery/data/50...ng_diagram.JPG)

Yea, sorry about the ignitor part of it.lol
Here is a diff diagram that should help you better understand your wiring.

This makes it difficult to figure out because all your wires are white, but I'm going to try.
We are going to replace your A1,2,3 with (X)Like it is in my diagram. Were are going to start with the starter.

X1 should tie into the lamp socket, "it is red, so that means it is a hot wire"
X2 should tie into the ground portion of your socket "it is black so it is ground"
X3 is blue and that is your remote, that tells everything else to turn on.
The 120v is going to go to your power supply.

You may be able to figure it out better from your end since you can see which wire is what, because I see all white wires and that is all I can go by from your diagram.

But you should be able to figure it out from here. If not, let me know and I'll try and help you further, but I need more info other than just seeing white wires because in my experience with wiring, there should be a red, black and green or blue wire.

You also should consider a capacitor since it will keep everything else from frying if something goes wrong in your system. Last thing you want is a fire.
