Help: Why did my seedling leaves change color?

Hey RIU.

I have two seedlings in a DWC system. One is a week older than the other but I started to notice when I looked at the two, the older ones leaves were getting lighter. The younger seedling has much darker green leaves.

Now I was using a feeder tube in my Bubbleponic/DWC grow but something happened to my timer so hte pump kept running and the rockwool was getting really wet.

I've since stopped using the feeder tubes and both seedlings still look healthy.

Just the older one has light green leaves.

Any idea why?

My ph is around 6.5 and I am under 4 26W 6500k CFL's.

Not using any nutes.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

The first pict is the one I am talking about and the second is the younger one.

They are old enough to be getting light nutes. Are the roots into the water? If not are the bottoms of the netcups getting wet from bubble mist? Also, that really isn't enough light, and how close are you getting the lights?

Hey Illegal. You responded to one of my other posts where I mentioned using a feeder tube in my DWC/Bubbleponics setup. I noticed one day my pump was running and the rockwool was way overwatered. So I stopped with the feeder tubes. I let the go for 2 days with no water and I think this might be why it is light in color maybe.

Anyway, the light colored plant has some roots coming out about 1/8 of an inch from the bottom of the net cup. :) Awesome!

The bubbles are getting the netpot very wet as well as the roots.

I am afraid to give nutes. Both seedlings are in the same reservoir.

you thinkg that is why the olde rone is lighter in color?

Whats your humidity like? I grow in soil but have had problems with seedlings looking like that if the RH is too low, I keep a humidity dome on my seedlings for a week or two generally.

Just a thought, not sure if humidity is an issue in dro or not.

You didn't let it go for two days with no water if the bubbles are splashing up on the netpots. It was probably getting too much before. I think you are on the right track now, but it has to eat! Start giving it nutes.

OK, just added some nutes. See what happens. Hopefully this is where I see the "explosive" growth everyone has experienced.

Thanks for your response, Illegal.
