Sorry this is a double post. I'm still getting used to this site layout and culture. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

  • I have three patients registered under my MMC with the state I live in. One of them has MS and cannot eat a lot of solid foods. I plan to make butter and edibles and have the patient's nurse assistant administer the meds.

Does anyone have any recipes or ideas that would work for MS patients?

Also, anyone have info on preferred strains for MS patie

I had a friend with MS who prefers the streain Blue Dream or similar 50/50 Indica/Sativah mix. The reason is that the high THC pure sativahs, while they were effective for his pain, also made his heart uncomfortably fast and made him shaky.

Thats only one person and its not even personal info, I wish I could help more. As far as recipes, theres the cooking with cannabis section, and if the patient cant keep down solids I'd recommend making a tincture. If their medication level is lower, soaking keif or good bud in alcohol is fine, but if they need higher dosages, its best to extract hash oil first then dissolve the hash oil in an equal amount limonene (to make it a thin easily dissolved liquid) then dilute into glycerin or alcohol. This tincture can be dropped into nutrient shakes or juices very easily.

Surprisingly, you can google "mmj strains for ms" and get a ton of personal recommendations from MS patients across the country.

I hope that gives you somewhere to start, at least. Good luck to you and your patients!
