He already has one of those to fill the room. He just needs to know how long it will take for his plants to use the Co2, when to refill the room, and when to exhaust. He already knows how long to run that system to get his PPM up to 1500. He is trying to get his cab to stay at a steady 1500ppm, or at least get the most out of what he is using.

exactly! thanks for the back up

The second link I posted is a $150 system with CONTROLLER. Which is the only way your gonna keep it "steady".

Otherwise like I said pump it up every time the exhaust runs, without A/C the lights should heat the room long before the Co2 has evaporated.

Have you tried running the system since this thread started or have you tested how long you can leave your exhaust off yet? It's been a while, just seeing if we've helped you at all or if there has been any progress.

Yeah, please update us. I'm on the verge of getting a CO2 system so am researching other people's use of CO2.

I havent started the injection yet. ive had company staying with me and havent been able to do any furthur work. i did test to see how long i could go with the exhaust, i posted this on page 1 of this thread...

tonight i turned the exhaust off and sealed up the room. i added a 16" wall mounted oscaliting fan. but i had the exhaust off for just over 2 hrs until it reach 86. however the humidity was at 72. i opened the door after the 2hrs for about 3- 4 mins and the humidity dropped to 58. what should i do about the humidity? get a de-humidifier??

this where i stand. however tomorrow nite i will turn on the co2. like ive said im going to turn it on for 4mins and leave the exhaust off for 1.5 hrs. i will monitor the temps, becuase i will be home all nite. then i trun the exhaust back on and see how long it takes to get temps down, that will dicate when i turn the co2 back on. and contiue, this may not be the best technique, but until i can afford a co2 monitor this is the only thing i think i can do. it may be a waste of co2 or maybe i could inject more in my room, but until i get the monitor this what im rolling with.

Foot in mouth kiss-ass

I see now that that system has a TIMER as the "Controller" and no actual C02 monitoring. =(

As for the Humidity an Air Conditioner dose well at pulling out water. I know that you don't have one and defiantly understand waiting till next payday, but seems like a very small window A/C could solve your heat, humidity, and C02 waste problems. A small unit, 5000 BTU or less, will only set you back $50-$60.

Any way sounds like your on the right track with your tests, keep up the tests and keep us updated.

If you are just looking for a window A/C unit, you can get a used one on craigslist for cheap. I have seen them in 5,000btu range for anywhere from $30-$100. You can get a brand new one for like $100 at wal mart.

cool thanks, ill look into it. my only deal is that my grow room is in the garage and i have no windows. i think there may be around, as far having to build a box around it and pull air in from the garage into the ac unit and then have the colder air run through ducting into my room.

anyone have any ideas or have they heard of anything to make this work with out a window??

You can build the box, or since its just the garage, you can exhaust all the hot air right into the garage since I'm sure you don't try and cool your garage anyway. Or for like $300, you can get a portable a/c unit which doesn't need a window to sit in.

Yep that's EXACTLY how mine is set up, I have a 8000 BTU Window Unit on my 4'x8' room built in my garage.
