Hi, this is what I have, 2 x 12" inline fans, 1 Max Fan, 1 Vortex, 1 x 8" Typhoon inline fan, and a 4" no name inline fan, 6 x 1000 Watt MH/HPS Rebel open box coil and core ballasts with 6 x 1000 Watt HPS Eye Hortilux bulbs, 6 x 6" Cooltube air-cooled reflectors the glass ones 1 x 1000 Watt MH Supernova closed box coil and core 1 x light mover, 1 x Hydrofarm non air cooled reflector 3 x 1000 Watt Philips MH bulbs, 1 x Danby 12,000 BTU portable A/C, 1 x small ass fan, 1 x small oscillating fan, 1 x 24" fan, 1 x Odor X 12" Carbon filter 1700 cfm, 500ft of zebra plastic 600lbs of BX ProMIX a 200L barrel and some nutes. There are 3 rooms 1 vegetation, 1 flower and storage. Storage = 600lbs BX ProMIX, 200L barrel, water pump, watering wand, hose, and nutes. Flowering room = 18ft x 10ft x 8ft there are 6 1000 Watt HPS lights, 6 Cooltube air-cooled reflectors the glass ones, 6 HPS bulbs, they each cover their own 4ft x 4ft area, 12" Odor X carbon filter, 12" Max fan on the filter exiting the chimney, 1 small oscillating fan beside my Danby 12,000 BTU A/C and 113 G-13 Flowering with powdery mildew... :( Vegetative room = 8ft x 6ft x 8ft there I have 1 1000 Watt MH light with a Hydrofarm reflector and a light mover that covers the 8 feet and 40 plants vegetating with powdery mildew... :( After reading what could be the cause of all this mildew I found out that lack of air, heat and crowding could be the cause well I hit the tri-fecta because I have crowded its 80 degrees there and only have limited fans and 0 funds left. If anyone can give me some helpful tips it would be much appreciated. (I haven’t set up the ducting for the lights because I am missing the reducer to fit the tubes I do have 12” ducting)

Just before I read u saying there is no funds left, I'm thinking, fuck you have spent some coin on this set up.. one thing u can do is put just a normal fan inside the grow room so it will circulate air flow inside the grow room, u will find this will be a big help. Also while the light is on, if u can, leave the door open as long as possible to get fresh air in. With the missing reducer, just improvise, using cardboard and duct tape the whole thing up so its air tight. If u get mould, cut it off asap cos the more there is, the quicker the shit multiplys.

Also do u have a inlet fan that sucks fresh air in from out side ur tent? If u dont, your extractor fans will be doing fuck allll because once inside gets to a certain pressure, the extractor fans have nothing to suck out, leaving all that humidity in there. If u dont already, this should fix ur problem

Thanks for the reply, I have put the 24" fan at the door. It will be pumping air in from outside the room while the lights are on, also set up a new but old timer to turn off the house lights when the room lights turn off, so fan can keep pumping air in. The 24" fan is too strong even on its lowest setting, so I pointed it up. Hope this works a bit. I was advised not to suck air in from outside, because it is hotter outside than inside. All I will be doing is putting more hot air in an 80 degree room?? Should I set up a timer put one of my 12" inline fans sucking air in at night?? Wont this freeze my plants? It can get pretty cold...

Thanks for your reply. I have been advised against bringing hot air in the room as my room is already hot at 80 degrees... Won't this add to the problem? Also I don't have any money I have spent all my money and only have money for nutes and human food. The 12" to 6" reducer is being made and I can pick it up WED! so hope that solves my heat issue.

This is my first time on a forum... Never really did this before, so please bare with me as I figure this out. Thanks in advance. Right now I have a 24" fan pushing cool house air in the room I have a bottle of Safer's Defender Fungicide 1L. If I fix the 3 problems within the week, will my plants stop producing Powdery Mildew? Also I am home now so all your tips will have to be used tomorrow.

Plants are pretty hardy, as long as its not freezing at night they should be fine, without the fresh air coming in, I doubt the mildew will stop, cos like I said before, when u have the tent door shut, the extractor fans will create a suction-like pressure having minimal air to push out.. so as long as its not boiling hot or Freezing cold, they should be fine

The fan at the open door reduced temps to 76 degrees. The PM seems less than before. I removed all dead leaves. I sprayed Defender, didn't like it so wont use it again, looked at some home made things I will try. Air circulation is nice. Humidity don't know how much because I didn't buy a meter. I have 2 filters at my window for the intake, but I stopped the intake at the first week of grow, when I was advised by a grower, (my intake was like I don't know how to explain this, but if you put your lips together, and do the opposite of blowing your cheeks go inside, when sucking kind of deal). The mother room looks crappy full of PM on the bottom I think I will just clone the tops because they look great. After this grow I will just restart the cleaning process room by room (arrg pain in the ass but worth it). Does anyone know if PM is transported from the clones, should I just kill my mothers? (waste of nutes?) If I spray them down clean the leaves and clone the PM wont transfer? Plants are at about 4 1/2 feet now. I forgot to reduce my garden size... I haven't and probably wont cut off any leaves with PM too much stress for the plants IMO. I will try to put a couple of pics. BTW first grow for me.

I just leave my door open, with a 24" fan facing up that circulates the air enough. Now there is very light PM on the stems I think I will just use the H202 like Jorge Cervantes when harvesting.
