Howdy RIU fam,

I have recently purchased a SE 3000 light and am curious on ventilation systems? I would like to use a controller with app for more temp/ humidity controls.

Thanks,
FN

Ventilation depends on tent size.
There is some formulas on the forum.
Allsoo if you are gonna use a carbon filter if your fan is too fast it will not clean the air compleatly

Just looking to exhale at this time. I am concerned about smell. Possibly in the future I will adapt the inhale system.

I have a GA 40x40x80 tent.

Will ACI - UIS connect to it?

Can't exhale if you don't inhale. If you're worried about smell, you'll need a carbon filter on the exhaust.
Yep. I was just going to open holes in bottom of tent. Plan on moving everything into extra bedroom and doing an air purifier. Might create a little static pressure but I dont think that affects anything?

you got 40 40 80 cm i will assume, anything up to 200CFM maybe ac infinity t4 it has variable speed control 10 speeds and it has smart controls soo it can do automation try to match temp humidity vpd....

Is AC that much better than SF? SF is just more affordable.

That will work, but you'll have to run the exhaust ventillation constantly to contain the smell if you open the bottom vents. You grow space is small (relatively), you will want a fan that will completely change the volume of the air in the tent every 3-5 minutes, so just calculate for cubic feet and get the appropriate fan. The vents should allow enough air in.

Is it more cost effective to go in both holes? (haha)

no idea, fan is a fan. i had a random brand before this one 20cfm weaker and no controls it was just a little bit louder and spent little bit more electricity.
I use cheap in-line duct fans, 8" for my 6.5x6.5x7 ft. Probably not an option for the OP, because they are noisy.

Cheap fans are louder and wear out quicker. There's a greater fire risk with cheaper stuff (you have to cut costs somewhere). Atleast the SF lights have a track record of burning.
