Help using ph down in soil

I have soil ph that is 7.5-8 and I want to get it down. I am going to get some ph down today and want to know the best way to use it. Can anyone give me some easy step by step instructions I can follow please including what to test, when to apply etc. Please make it as easy as possible as best you can as the ph down will be in Spanish and I do not read Spanish (at the moment lol)

if your using ph down,ph your water to 7 then water with that in a couple of days check again ,goodluck

As simple as that? Water with water that has a lower ph and check again after a day or so. If it is still high, water with an even lower ph or just keep with the same?

that is the method i have seen seinor members post in replies. i use lime when conditioning my soil from the start my soil is ph,d before i put the plant in and i use water ph,d to 7
