(Help) Update on my first mushroom grow

Hey guys. So for my first mushroom grow I'm growing b+. And I'm very happy to say things seem to be turning out great. I have 2 large mushrooms, and about 8 smaller mushrooms. There is a little bit of blue on the cake and I'm pretty sure that's because I played with it a little too much and bruised it. There's one mushroom that doesn't seem to be going too well because it feels very loose like its hanging onto the cake by a thread and it's not growing very much. But considering the size of the other mushrooms I'm not too concerned about it. My only real concern is I found white fuzz growing at the base of the mushrooms. I googled it and one place said it was due to not enough fresh air exchange, which I don't see how that's possible considering I fanned the terrarium 3-4 times a day, and another place said its because the conditions for the mushrooms are ideal and it's normal. so I'm getting mixed messages. I just want to know if they're safe to eat. Also I see a little bit of tearing between the stem and the cap but I don't think it's the kind of tearing I'm waiting for. I'll just throw some pictures up so you guys can see everything I'm talking about. Please let me know your thoughts. Sorry that one of the pictures are blurry this camera is hard to mess with sometimes.

Also, I'm currently trying to figure out how to inoculate more jars without having to buy another syringe. If the white fuzz on the mushroom is mycelium then wouldn't I be able to scrape some of it off and drop it in the new jar?

They are safe to eat. You could scrape some mycelium off but you are no longer in sterile conditions and it probably will not work.

Check out the liquid culture approaches. That will set you straight. Or you can collect the spores of what you are growing and use those.

Take an open cap and place it on some aluminum foil overnight or longer. When u lift the cap off the foil u will see its spore print. Let the purple spore print dry. Scrape the dry print off foil and mix with distilled water into one of your empty syringe. Enjoy knocking up new jars.

That white fuzz will turn blue when you mist your cakes. Ive had a few people think my shrooms are bad when they see blue on them lol.

It wasn't really much of a good experience this time. They weighed 18 grams fresh. I ate them and they didn't do a lot besides give me a shitload of anxiety. But I could tell they were really potent. I probably just didn't eat enough. Maybe I'll do a trip report when I take 7 dry grams. Keep a look out :)

18 fresh grams is less than 2 g dry. Remember they are 90% water. I ate 30 g fresh b+ before and got a nice trip. But i wont ever do that again. Just so much better dry imo. Fresh messed up my stomach a lil.

Yeah I knew 18 fresh grams was a weak yield. I've been doing all I can to try and figure out how to grow more at once. Haven't had any luck yet. And I agree. I think they're best dry

I guess you can make a big smoothy with them. But around 35 grams for a 3.5 gram equivalent. I don't know. Maybe one day.

How many cakes do you have in your fruiting chamber? You should do like 10 or 12 at a time. Fill that thing up bro haha.

Where did you get the spores man? There are other ways for better yields but this is very simple and good to begin with.
