Help! SHOULD I HARVEST??

I think am about 7 to 7 1/2 weeks in, not too sure though. Most of the hairs are orange and there is decent trichome coverage. I heard that buds put on the most weight the last week so if I am harvesting too soon ill be losing some weight? Do you guys think I should cut em?

I am saying yea, have you flushed your system, and if so how long ago, how far are you into flowering, breed of the plants, and also invest into a nice magnifying glass, so you can check the crystals, you want 50/50 amber and white

take a few pics without the hps light on. Have you checked the trichomes color? pistils are not a good way to determine when to harvest, its normal for them to die (going orange)and be replaced with new ones(not literally in the same exact spot) throughout the plants life cycle.

Get a 60x or 100x magnifying glass and check the trichomes. If the look like small upside down tear drops you need more time. Once they mushroom out you can cut anytime. Wait until all of the trichomes are cloudy and 25-50% have turned amber in color. The more you let the crystals turn amber the more indica like high you will get. Personally I would not chop at 7 1/2 weeks. Out of all the strains I've done I've only ever had two ready in week 7. Start flushing now and post some clearer pics in a couple days without the hps light. Use clearex, final phase, etc. to speed up the flushing process. This way if they are ready in 5 days you will have a flush comparable to 2 weeks vs if you were using just water.

Ok, I will take some pictures with regular light tonight. Does Walmart have 60-100x magnifying glasses?
The strain is Lavender I believe. All the leaves are turning purple and black but the buds aren't! ughhh.

I go a week and 1/2 more and then use a micro to see if trics are milky or brown. I wait until thay are brown...... looking gooood
Okay. Looks like ill have to buy more string then. I keep coming in to see branches that have broken off from the weight.

doesnt look close to me, maybe another couple weeks. Wait until the pistils star looking like they are receding back into the flower.

He wants 50/50 amber cloudy IF his tastes in toking are the same as yours ... AND IF someone is not growing something that is highly predominantly sativa or a pure sativa, which his do not look like.

People should always harvest according to their own likes/preferences in a high or stone .... and not according to what someone else prefers.

Pistil color and if they are receding or not is only a rough estimate of how close to being 'ripe' a plant is and it is not an across the board sign at that. Some strains, Mantanuska Tundra for one, will still have white pistils standing up firm and proud like a teenage girls titties when it is fully ripe and ready for harvest.

Only rely on trichome color and only harvest when the trichome color is what it needs to be to give you the most of what you like and want in a high or stone and not what anyone else prefers for their high or stone.

Some people actually wait to see brown trichomes ... not amber trichomes ... but instead, actual brown trichomes. If my plants had brown trichomes they would be turned into compost.

Always harvest by your tastes and likes and preferences and yours alone.
