Help!!! Really fast!

I know the title seems a little urgent, but I'm transplanting my three week old plant, directly into a 5 gallon bucket, my thing is is that I got the new soil pretty wet should the new soil be wet before putting the plant into it? I've read and read and read and nothing talks about this. Thank you. Also I was going to change my light system from 24-0 to 18-6 tonight after transplanting << good idea or no???

That's how I do it. I transplant into wet soil and don't water for a while it encourages the root's to seek out the water

Thank God, it's an answer I wanted to hear lol, also I picked up some Alaska fish fertilizer today should I give a little bit tonight or wait a few days? Also about the light schedule? No go or green light?

I don't use fish fert's inside because of the smell , but I at least wait till it needs watering. Also since you transplanted into such a large pot you should think about your watering schedule very carefully, only water when it needs it or you will deprive the roots of O . You can mist between waterings . And you won't need to feed for 2/4 weeks depending on how good the soil is .

I would use 18/6 or 20/4 light schedule if it is a photo or 20/4 , 24 if it's a auto .

Green light is OK for working in the room when the grow light is off but it ain't good to help grow the plant.

Just finished transplanting, should I turn the light off now or what? I was gonna wait until midnight and have the lights back on at 6:00am. This is her after transplant hopefully everything went accordingly

I would personally maintain your normal light schedule for a few days then move to whatever light schedule you plan on going forward with. I want them to root fast and not adjust to lighting until growth resumes. Do you plan on finishing indoor or outdoor?

Finishing indoor, I think I'm gonna just stay on 24-0 at least for a couple days, really scared that I messed something up, it came out of original container really easy and went in pretty easy but scared shitless that I messed something up

As long as it didn't go into very "hot"(very nitrogen rich)soil you'll be fine. It's normal to have a 1-2 days of no growth after a transplant, so don't be alarmed if the next few days are unevenful. Just watch for any yellowing. If you see any wilting(not discoloring) just give it a spray of ph neutral water on the leaves. If you see any discoloring come back to us with pictures.

If you are finishing indoors I would stay with a 24 hour light schedule. There is no reason not to.

Actually the one tip was a little yellow and when I say a little I mean barely even the tip, is that okay? I just moved the light up 3-4inches I figured that's what it was

You wouldn't get a reaction from the new soil this quick. Even if there was an issue with it. What soil did you transplant into?

No the yellowing on the tip has been there for a few days sorry I should've clarified that, if you look at the response right above your last comment I posted what it was lol but it was Dr earths motherland

By the way the soil I transplanted to was Dr earths motherland, don't know if that helps any at all
I've used that for my transplants. It does have some fertilizers in it. Just don't add any fertilizers for a atleast a week until you see how it reacts. I have had micronutrient issues with it, more specifically sulphur deficiency. Get some Earth Juice microblast and add a light dose into your next watering.

Okay... I watered the new soil pretty good probably overboard tbh so I won't be need water for a while so hopefully I'll have enough time to grab some up.

You should be good for a few days. Just make sure you have good drainage. My deficiency issues popped up with the first week. You may be luckier than me but I would get the microblast asap just in case.

I took a drill with the biggest bit I had and drilled 4 bottom holes and at least 6 holes at the bottom of the side of the bucket if that makes sense

That should work. Just make sure to keep it on something to keep it from getting sealed by the ground. The little things man....

I've been up night and day for about a month and a half doing nothing but research lol trying to learn as much as possible, definitely not as easy it seemed
