So the cotyledon leaves are spreading and i can definitely see the first set of true leaves coming out now on my 4 day old sproutling. BUTTTTT the main stem underneath the cotyledon leaves is no longer green, its not brown either but its a dark color, the cotyledon leaves are still green and so are the true leaves that are coming out. Thoughts?

about every 12 hours, the rapid rooter i have it in is drying off pretty fast. I just mist it down on the sides, not a lot. Temps are around 75-80 or so with about 40% humidity.

I think when you transferred from the soil its quite possible you gave it a fungus or something. That's one reason why once you put em in the ground you shouldn't mess with them anymore. And those rapid rooters just don't sound reliable.

It very well may have got something from that junk soil i had it in, ive already got another seed germed im going straight to a rooter with. The rooters work great if you keep them in the tray they come with, but the tray wouldnt fit in my box. Small solo cup will work better.

Are you using tap water? If so chloramines prevent germination and attack root system. I know this because I had over 20 failed grows because of it.
