already had post going but can't find it now so try again.. got some seeds of friend so thought i'd give them a try.. got some compost for seedling.. plants about 4 to 5 weeks old and leaves turning yellow/brown in colour the other day.. pics taken about 3 or 4 days ago .. now things have gone worse

ok, go to thread tools, subscribe to thread , then you dont lose your threads ,
also leaves are low down , were they cuttings or seedlings ?? my cuttings sometimes show this with older leaves , im not saying thats your issue deffo , but just my thought...

What kind of compost did you come up with. I'm no doctor but it looks like your plants could be getting a little to much nitrogen

these plants were started from seed.. compost was just a bag i got for seedling.. if it is to much nitrogen how do i fix this.. thought this was going to be like growin house plants but these thing are fussy little gits lol
 
i'm more mentioning this so someone will clarify, kinda aimed at gopherbuddah, but i've always taken yellowing leaves to be a sign of too little nitrogen?

I'd say you've got some nutrient burn, not a serious one frome those pictures though. Pure compost is too rich for a potting soil. repot with a mix of 50 % perlite and water heavily every watering to flush your soil.

thanks everyone for quick replys will give some of them ago.. and get me a ph tester.. also how do i sort out my nitrogen problem if that could be it
