hi there riu, monday around 11 in morning had a big power cut for about 36-40 hours there been in darkness but i managed to get it bk up and running my plants were 4-5 weeks into flowering will this casue problems for my plants have 6 in a 120x120x200 tent..also the problem was my 400w hps light had blown and im bit skint atm and had a brand new 400w mh bulb which i have put in there for now will this still work like make em flower its 4000k mh 400w bulb tnaks for help

The good news is the dark bit wont hurt them enough to be that worried. As far as the MH, it will do. it produces a lot of different color specs but not enough of the red, orange yellow kind like we want. as soon as you can get the HPS bulb do it!

You can definately flower with it but it is not optimal for the flowering stage. The HPS has a broader spectrum as in the red and blue which suits flower and mh is better for the veg stage, but like I said you can use it and u are pretty far along. If I was you I would use the MH and throw in a couple of CFL; to add the full spectrum of light needed for flower.

thats good then fort it might make them hermie or something i do have spare 600 w bulbs but my ballast only supports 400w and guess i better get 1 real soon cheers

yh thanks tim might have to go out tomorow and get a hps ill try find away to get bit of money there not that expensive i guess

get a new hps asap, the metal halide will make buds a bit stringy.

Darkness should have no impact it is if they get too much light. Also as everyone else said MH will work but you will end up with probably wispy buds.
