Hi,

My plant, 8 days old has started to turn yellow!
It started with the leaf tips but now the new leaf groth is yellow too.

I give her tap water which is left out for 48 hours at least, no nutes.
Only water when soil is dry

Help would be great!

I have a feeling that i may have my cfl's too close, had 4 within 2-3 inches of her but would like to still hear your comments.

Thanks

I am no guru but i would say you must transplant those into bigger containers asap. It could be a nitrogen deficiency, so start with some nutes - just a little. What is the humidity in your space? And what temperature?

Ok, she has been transplanted into a much bigger container now!
The only nutes i have a the moment are 7-7-7, is that ok to use would you say? She is only 10days old.

Temp is around 80, cannot check humidity at the min but guessing that it is fairly low, Lots of air circulation too.
Have you come across this before?

Thanks

They are too young for nutes yet. All they need is what you have already done and that is transplant into pots with soil so they have something to grow towards/for. When they are this young a good soil usually has everything they need for at least the first 2-3 weeks. luck

yeah man-no nutes yet-wait 4 a seedling age 3-4 weeks, and gradually increase the nutes dosage.
keep up the good work....

It is recommended that you give no nutes until 3-4 weeks, is that from seed or when you transplant to final pot?

well if your unsure of what the humidity is, try filling a bowl w water and placing it next to your plants somewhere. that should raise the humidity so about 40%. also make sure the soil isnt too compact. the roots need water and air. this was so frustrating that it was the tipping point for me to go hydro, no problems since.

does anyone have any ideas why she has turned a little yellow
??
The plants turned yellow because because those starter plugs are not enough soil for the roots to grow more roots. Once the tap root has exposed itself out of the plugs time to put them into soil, that's it. simple
