help please broken mainstem

so while groing these mystery seeds from a friend 2 plants end up being sativas or sativa dominant anyways one plant grew in a Y shape so while attemping to bend the plant down since it was growing too tall i split the mainstem down the center no telling how far down it it split since it goes into the dirt what can i do about it will it just heal itself also im about 3 weeks into flower could this result in making the plant hermie is there any hope for it i taped the stem back together with some floral tape and turned my osscilating fan off

At this point taping or tying is the only suggestion I can offer. She should recover pretty quickly. As for causing it too hermie, maybe yes, maybe no. She is certainly going to be stressed. Best of luck!

thanks for the quick replys my stress level has lowered a little if she takes longer to flower that ok i just dont wanna lose it its one of the biggest plants and looks like a large yield will come from her if she makes it

That sounds like a serious break all the way down to the dirt. Hope for the best tie it with twine



don't use tape if anything use twine. The stem needs to be able to breath or else it will start rotting

ouch...yes pics please.... so we can see the damage, to be able to give the best advise for your girl.

Sorry maker, but this is not a good idea. The paste on duct tape is made of God knows what and could cause disease, not to mention as Ryan stated suffocate her.

Tie it up for support and tape the split. If you have cloning gel a little added to the split before tape would help. Stress for sure. Just watch everyday for sacks. Remove them as soon as you see them. But that's if you even see them.

add a bit of water to the powder and make a paste, and keep her tightly bound. Cannabis is amazingly resilient, she should be fine.

that is a big split but as long as you keep her together, it should heal up, just keep it tied good with string(something better than tape), so that if you bump it.... it will not separate again, and it should heal up depending how healthy she was before the incident..

it may get stressed from the trauma, but mj has always been a resilient plant, least she will probably heal.

thanks for the help people shes all tied down now with nylon string tied both main branches together at various heights starting from bottom up and then retied the bottom strings that got loose from ting the higher parts also made a paste with cloning powder and poured it into the crack before i tied her up after tieing it up like this it seems i should have already had it tied this way before attempting to bend it oh well live and learn right and hopfully she pulls through
