HELP! Og raskal WIFIS going to shit after weekend out of town):

Hey what's up RIU. I have a problem and I really need some help . I have 6 wifis in coco on the canna coco line. Under a 250w mh (was planning on moving up to my 400 but then I encountered this problem)

At first i built them up to 8.5 mls each of a+b but the first time feeding that high, one of my plants lowest leaves started burning along the serrations. This made me start questioning the canna chart. I didn't change the feed tho (cal mag 1ml 8.5 ml a+b, 7.5 rhizo, 9 cannazym every other mix per gal.) and after that they looked great and I had no other problems

but then a few weeks later I came across this thread https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/stop-chronic-overfeeding-and-some-tips-with-canna-coco.48642/ basically what it says is the canna chart is just a scam for you to use more because you are just overfeeding them even tho they don't show signs of burning it means " they are just more tolerant to overfeeding" and if you use only 200 ppm in veg and 400 in flower you will get much better results. Many people agreed and vouched for what he said so I believed it and began altering my schedule I got it to5 ml ab 3.5 rhizo and 4.5 cannazym after lowering slowly which is still higher than what the thread suggests .

Then something came up and I had to leave town for 4 days.[edit: the day I left was the first day of the new 5ml form after reducing half way one feeding in-between ] I had my grower buddy stop by and take care of the girls. I had him feed the new altered formula. When I came back ,my beautiful wifis had gone to shit :sad:.one of them had a lower leaf that was brown and dead all along the serration and the rest was yellow with brown spots. The branches had purple streaks running all along them not so much on the main stock but there was definitely some (the sun leaf branches either turned purple or reddish purple depending on plant). And the tips were burnt on all of them at least once somewhere some more than others. At first I thought it was a nute def. From trusting that stupid thread but then I saw the Burnt tips and that totally threw me off!

NOW ... The rest are following with their lowest leaves serration starting to die and getting those brown spots! I don't know what to do ! I ph every time I feed to 5.8 and I had my friend do the same when I left I'm just so frustrated because I had them going perfect until I left . Please any input would be appriciated as these genetics were really pricey but I'm sure most of you know his gear is worth it! I'll be putting up a pic shortly !!

After deducing that mini shitstorm of a read i would think its from the altered schedule since thats when things went to shit. And every seed is different, some like certain nutrients a little more than others or more of them. Really have to not follow a guide so much and just follow what your plant is telling you. sounds like this happened

Yea sorry about that too much skywalkaa and the anxiety of messing up my seeds didn't help my writing too much. I had the whole thing and a lot more typed up then I accidentally exited out of the page so after screaming at my self for about a minute I just tried to get it up here. So you suggest to work my way back up to my old schedule? But what about the burnt tips? Why would cutting down on nutes give them burnt tips ? Is that another sign of nutrient deficiency? I guess I still have a lot to learn because I'm so confused....

View attachment 2611682 Could be a number of things. When i think of spots i usually think of potassium def mainly but it could be one of several different elements. Cannabis defenitly doesn't need no 2000PPMS to be happy i do see the best grows that have it at the optimal level its usually not that high. 200 ppm in veg isn't much can easily bring it up to 300 or 400 and see how it does for a few days, probably what i would do. Some pics would go a long way

As far as your anxiety goes if it's a well established plant already it can take a bit of a beating

Does anyone know what causes purple streaks on the branches and purple /red leaf stems (not streaks) because ive never heard of nutrient deficiency doing that? I was thinking the yellow leaves with spots and dead serration was a potassium deficiency???? But then I saw the burnt tips so I don't even know what to think

Haha sorry didn't see your post when I put that! I was thinking potassium too but I have burnt. Tips? I know 200 sounded low to me that's why I only lowered it to 5 ml which is like 350 plus . 2 ec of cal mag ( sorry about mixed units I use ec but the thread only mentions ppm and I can't convert it in my head

You probably have multiple deficiencies, like phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, possibly potassium

How old is it? because you can easily go off and do the opposite thing and nute burn it now so take it easy, monitor the ppms and ph as much as you can so they don't fluctuate and give it a little more at time and keep close a close eye to see if its healing (some damage is beyond repair) and growing, and it should reward you in return

Okay so basically what that guy said was bs and to start raising the ppms back right ? I think 8 mls each of a and b alone is .8 ec + .2 cal mag is that too high? Cuz like you said when growers actually have a strain dialed in their ec levels are on the low side that's why I'm confused

.2 ec is more cal/mag than i give my plant, i give her 50 PPM of calmag (.1ec) nutes might need some balancing

If it was me, and please take my opinion with a grain of salt i am no professional. I would do 350-450 PPM of your nute line, and 50 PPM of Calmag

Though it depends on the age of the plant too,

Well the only thing is I use ro water and with canna if you use ro you need to supplement a cal mag to at least .2
so that's why I put that.I guess its to imitate soft tap water cuz that's what the nuts were designed for. I know though that was my plan exactly minus the cal mag part then I came back to this shit hole! Maybe it's heavy feeding strain? The guy who wrote the thread said there is no such thing but I guess I just proved him wrong because I didn't even go as low as he said and igot nute deficiencey

I wish I could find someone who tried to run wifi on canna nutrients I'm sure they would know what ec it typically likes

I use distilled water haha. But even if they have the same strain it could be different unless its a clone. i would say heavy feeder as much as i would say tolerance. ultimately, the roots should be able to grab what they want from the water so you should be able to see decreases/increases in ppm and that should also help you.

Yea I know that they would be different but there is some sort of similarity usually. Like I can tell my strongest plant with the best root system is just progressing in the def because it's using the most nutrients and the smaller ones are now following with the same type of def. It just took a little longer

hit them harder with the nutes. Did that guy you do that turtorial take into consideration the size of the plant?
