So my 3 plants are 3 weeks old and I was watering with plain reverse osmosis water until now I realized I might be cutting out some nutes. My tap is 42 ppm and 7ph I watered till soaked and water came out the bottom of smart pots with tap today to give it a flush will my tap water be okay for my plant? Also should I start adding nutes mirco grow bloom to my water ? I’m using fox farm ocean forest. my temps are around 75-80 and my humidity 40-55
They are all autoflowers

They look hungry. What size light do you have? They look good. Just ready for nutes

The lighter color one looks ready a few days ago.

people are telling me no nutes cause of fox farms but should i feed starting tmrw?
No nutes for how long? My FFOF lasts about 4 weeks. Sometimes a little less sometimes a little more. You can wait until your plant starts to lighten and then feed. Or you can test ppm and go off that. Depends on what you have available.

wait for more replies before doing anything. Never take one mans word for anything. Especially not mine

That’s a good neutral start to add your nutrients to.

Depending on your nutrient line you should add accordingly.

Auto or pheno will help people provide you the best info.

The light green plant needs nutrients for sure. Do you have a nutrient line you’re planning on using? If so post it so people can help you decide how much to add. Most people start with half dose and do not feed everyday. Then you can adjust from there.

im using ph perfect grow micro bloom
That one that looks yellow is beginning to get serious nute burn so don't feed it anything but water!

The others look great so nothing needed for them yet either. Wait until you start seeing the oldest and biggest fan leaves begin to yellow tehn use all 3 nutes at 1ml/L for a feed to see how they like it. I've used AN nutes for 19 years and when you first add them to an organic soil like you have it can trigger a release of nutes or something then burn can happen bad.

Might not hurt to flush a bit of water thru the burning one to lower it's nute level a bit. Some strains are more sensitve to FFOF

Good luck and good growing!

So this is the part I struggle with. When to add the nutrients to the pre made soil to not burn or starve my plants. So it’s a lock out not a nutrient deficiency on the light color plant? I didn’t think it would be lockout if all he has given is plain water.

See OP told u to wait for smart people!

Top dress container with more soil ... water in with some CalMag ( because of RO ) ... try 6.5 ph .

Simple way to recharge your medium and not overfeed.

Don’t flush it ..... it just exasperates the problem by “ leaching “ the soil . FFOF is highly charged at runs a 6.3 , keep ph more towards 6.5-6.7 and you are golden. Adding more topsoil is like a refresh to the host medium .... sure you can add a few goodies like a pinch of EWC and Myco ( for a boost ) scratch mixed into topsoil and go enjoy a beer.

FF Nutes are pretty hot and with FFOF thrown into the equation, it can easily burn yo shit.
Big Bloom is the only “ organic “ of the 3 and difficult to overdo feeding. Grobig is very concentrated , burn very easy and salts up your shit something nasty. I threw out many a smart pot because of the buildup. Always start light 1/8 or 1/4 strength , feeding chart is way too much in real world grows. Those numbers are from “controlled“ tests that they make as a “ guide “.

RO has been “ filtered “ of some elements hence the calmag . Also led grows make plants calmag hungry .
You can totally run a plant on that soil ALONE , no bottles , no synth bullshit , no measure of Nutes , cleaner end product.
Water at ph and add soil at different stages ......... and angels sing .

I'm not saying flush it but get a good 50% runoff so you take out some of the active nutes to help keep the plant from burning any more. I've had to do that and it helps. With organics new available nutrients are being made all the time and that one has just got a bit too much right now.

It could be getting over it tho the secondary growth under the tops has signs of burn and those lime green edges showing burn to come.

My 2¢ for what it's worth.
