I Have seedlings that are a week old now they have their first set of leaves but they don't seem to be getting their next set but they are growing in height. I have them under a 400hps light which is in an 6inch aerotube at 12 inches above them and the temp is around 25-27 degrees. Can anybody advise me what Iam doing wrong please any help would be appreciated.

Agree on raising the light a bit. Also, in the first week the seedling puts a lot of energy into growing roots. Dont worry if you aren't seeing fast foliage growth at that age.

These guys know what's up. Light too close (consider using CFL to save energy for a few weeks) and the girls are doing their work below the soil for now. Make sure you have an oscillating fan so that when they do grow they get nice, firm stalks. Good luck!

I agree with hermex. Personally I start off my seedlings with CFLs and then will switch to something a little bit more powerful than that, once they start kicking off. That's just me..some people might agree/disagree. That's just worked best for me.

Looks like the advice above is pretty solid. Patience bro, they will start growing more above the surface very soon.
