It's all economics, Twils - if there were legal medicinal grows in my neck of the woods, prices wouldn't be anywhere near where they are.
Besides, no offense to any fluoro growers, but I'm not sure I've ever seen "primo" bud grown under CFLs.
I'm sure it's good, but not "primo".

If he lives in the states he's being ripped off. Most areas in the United States 4k an LB is a good deal. 4500-5500 is the normal price range for good bud. Around 2k for mids that usually come from BC, 800 ballpark for schwiggity. I played some games online where I made contact with smokers all over the states, they were dialed into prices. They tell me the days of fifty for an eighth is gone and its usually a 30/60 split. My buddy sent me an e-mail and was happy as a clam he found ounces for $350 and it was just ok nug. One guy said he could get chronic for 3800 a pound but had never done it. . . .which means he probably couldn't.
Buying blows, thats why growing rules.
Oh and btw? I don't believe for a second its a "bet with a friend" unless the friend is yourself.
Just the other day I bet grizzly adams that if he managed to build a new Audi that i'd give him FIVE GRAND! I just get to keep the Audi. . . . . .
Or more simply? I bet grizzly adams he couldn't do something illegal then give me the results for less than they're worth.

too many factors for this bet to fall through, and what if one of your bagseeds hermies and you have a crop full of seedy bud, is your boy gonna pay 4k for weed that isn't even worth 400? Sounds like a learning experience for you , you should try it.
On a side note, OG kush in Socal still sells @ no lower then $4800 /Lb., unless the grower is a close friend. If Socal hadn't got saturated with kush(too many people selling clones) the going price that THE DISPENSERY'S pay would still be $5600 LB(the going price 5 years ago).

Yeah, this is the second duplicate thread that the OP has had on the subject - I basically echoed your thoughts regarding my disbelief that there's actually a bet in the previous one a week or two ago.
