the 280s just mean more work to me imo I like the four footers but to big for my liking so I go with the two footers much more easier to make smaller fixtures imo

Right. But for the space he described in the first post, a 560mm strip, may not be the most desirable option.

well he still should have enough room the two footers are only like 22 inches not past 23 he says he has 23/24 so it should fit fine maybe a bit tight but it should work

Ok how about 2 of the 560mm strips

and then the 20V version of that driver looks like what I want instead

In parallel they would each get 1A which would put them right @ 20W each?

Do I need to put these on aluminum channels at this wattage or can I screw them straight to the (wood) roof of the cabinet?

Yes. 20w each with that driver.
If you run into stock issues,
There's a search engine called Octopart. Punch in the driver model number = LPF-40D-20.

I've run BXEB Gen2 560mm strips at 1000ma without heatsinks for quite awhile now.
I've never screwed them straight into anything though, my personal preference is always to have an opportunity for airflow when running them naked.
I also, cannot attest to what effect this may have on the longevity. I do know the voltage drop is within what I consider safe, at full operating temps.

Just ordered 4 of the 280mm strips and the LPF-40D-20. Going to make a 12 x 18" angle bar frame and mount it long ways in the veg space.

Does anyone know, with these LPF drivers can I get the same dimmer/potentiometer knob from RapidLED for these? The drawings are not super clear on how the wiring for these works. It looks like it is 4 wires in one jacket, where the HLG series has 2 jackets?

@Airwalker16 @Chip Green just wondering if you guys can advise on whether the RapidLED potentiometer knob will work for these LPF drivers?

They say they work with the HLG C series drivers which is what I have them on now. Pretty sure they are 100K. The dimming spec on the driver says 0-10V DC which is the same as the C series, but I am not sure what else I should look for/take into consideration?
