Ok to start this off, yes Im a noob when it comes to growing. Plan on attempting an outdoor and indoor grow in the Spring and in the mean time, try to gain as much knowledge as I can. I know hands on is the best way to learn and I WILL NOT be too disappointed if my first grow yields nothing. This is just something Ive always had in the back of my mind, but been thinking and thinking...Its time to at least give it a try.
Im in Oklahoma, mild/cold winters - mild/hot summers. Im sure this isnt the ideal climate for a grow, but Ive seen, heard, and read about people having success around here.
I live in the country and not many neighbors at all. Ive lived in this area for all 25yrs of my life, so Im very familiar with areas traveled. IF caught its a felony (Cultivating) charge. Thats probably the 1 and only reason Ive never attempted a grow before, but Im a schemer so I would never do anything like this unless it was meticulously planned out first. Another reason for wanting to grow is I spend roughly around $400-$500/Month on some sort of dank ( it differs). So if I could grow STRICTLY for my own personal use I could save anywhere from $4,800.00 - $6,000.00/Year. Now I DO how ever plan on spending some money in order to get a good grow going (mostly on my indoor setup). But still even after that Ill still be saving quite abite per year.
Ill probably ask alot of questions, so feel free to answer which ever you have knowledge on.
Right now Im wondering what type of landscape to look for:
Bottom of a large hill?
Middle of a hill?
Top of a hill?
I live by ALOT of creeks (that lead to lakes). By a creek?
Any certain type of tree I should look to be around/avoid?
What number of plants would be a good starting point for a beginner?
What kind of outdoor strain would be good for a beginner in my climate?
I know you dont want to plant directly under any trees whos canopy will block sunlight from your crop.

) ... So until I find a legit indoor set up that fits ME, Id prefer to mainly do outdoor and it will not be on my property. The land adjacent to me is like 50acres and 2/3rds of that is woodland type area. The guy that owns the land owns ALOT of land around me. Owns cattle, is an older gentleman, and honestly never really comes onto land Im thinking about planting on. Its also only like 2-300yds away from my house, and since I have no CLOSE neighbors, going back and forth wouldnt be an issue.
