Help me choose a strain please!

I am going to do an outdoor grow this season, in essentially pots in a field near my house. I live in Illinois, so it is not "legal" per-say, and I wanted to consult with all the experts on this forum for help choosing a strain. I tried doing some auto white russian last year hydroponically, but it did not work well having to hide it as I did and I did not have the time to care to them as much as I would have hoped. I am looking for a strain that produces medium-high yield, any potency will do. I since I live in the worst environment in the world, Illinois, I also am in need of a resilient strain. Height is sort of an issue, I can't have like a 8 foot tall Sativa strain going in a prairie, but if the strain produces tall plants I could find a different place to grow, but this is not really ideal. Any information anyone can give me as to a strain I can grow easily outside with decent yield and a low profile will be very helpful. I could also try the technique for bending the stems, name is slipping my mind right now . Any and all of your help is appreciated

update: and since the Illinois season is short and i leave for school in mid august, i was hoping to have a strain with short flowering or an auto strain, that i can harvest a couple weeks before i leave. are there any autoflower strains with some of the characteristics im looking for or are resiliant outside?

ya im open to essentially everything, just something that probably wont die lol

autoflowering? i had my sights on the sagarmantha white russian again this year, had some solid germination last year but they died because i couldnt water them enough . u ever heard of this strain or if autoflowering strains are good outdoors?

if you are looking for something that finishes early to mid august, you are probably going to have to go with an auto... I would look at the auto AK47's and maybe the Russian Rocket Fuel, or other Lowryder crosses like Diesel Ryder & Blue Ryder

no problem... i just can't think of any non-auto strains that are going to finish that early. about the earliest i usually see breeders say a photo period strain will finish is mid to late september. I think most strains start the flowering stage in early august so most strains that are not autoflowers aren't even going to start budding until early august and that sounds like the time you want to be harvesting.

if the 5 free lemon haze seeds are a promo, you will likely get the 2 free ufo's as well... you should consider what the ufo's are. lemon haze is going to take a long time to finish... unless you have an indoor grow area they may not be of much use to you...

I got 3 freebie ufo autos last month... if the freebies are autos, that is something else to consider... good luck with your choices. you may want to see how long it takes the white russian to finish too
