Hi all,
I live in The New England area Of the USA. We have a Blizzard coming!!! That being said the reports are anywhere from 2-4 feet of smow from friday to saturday. I'd like to hear some peoples ideas on things I could do if I lost power, Heat etc. BTW Moving is not an option. Lol. Looking for serious ideas please.

What I'm thinking about is I have some Kerosene lanterns Candles etc. Could they provide enough like to prevent hormone levels from rising Screwing up my Lighting schedule? and enough heat? I have a generator, But I'd rather not use it for the grow room, Maybe heat house and keep lights in my living part running. Thanks in advance guys...

if you aren't using them having some low watt CFLs handy would help...a 13w-23w pulls very little from your generator (yet puts out anywhere from 2700-6500k) and it will provide light for your plants as well as you. living in US midwest have had LOTS of experience with power outtages! keep your plants where you are for both heat and light source.

Just hunker down and wait. No special nothing. Even if the lights are off a day or two. The plants will be fine so long as they do not freeze. However a little TV/DVD set can keep them entertained if it is battery powered.
