Help LED strips

Hi

I have been looking at led strips.
Having a problem trying to figure out how many watts per strip.
Most of these website companies give you amp and voltage.
I have found a conversion, which converts it to wattage, does this look right to you.

Current - Test 1.38A
Current - Max 1.38A
Voltage - Forward (Vf) (Typ) 48.2V


Select current type:
Enter voltage in volts:
48.2V

Enter current in amps:
1.38A


Power result in watts:
66.516
so to sum it up 66 watts.

Or could you point me in the right direction.

To convert to watts, just multiply Amps and Voltage (10A * 40V = 400W)

Most companies give a figure between 700ma to 1400 ma (or 0.7a to 1.4a)

30 watts/square foot is good with Samsung or Bridgelux strips.

Ledgardener.com is the ultimate info source. They have ready made designs under the categories/build tab and driver calculators for custom strip design under calculators tab. Your calculation for watts is right but you don’t really want to run leds at max. It shortens life.
