hi I'm pretty much new to this and i feel like :wall: but i have done three plants in soil and they looked great but i was told to do hydro i had four plants that i had someone tell me i should convert to from soil to hydro i converted them but the small about maybe 2-3'' ones i had took off but my bigger ones about 6-7'' took awhile longer they look alright, but not sure the little ones look great better than before, but my bigger ones the leaves are discolored almost yellow, curling up, even the new leaves coming in, i attached some pics but they were taken on my I phone so sorry about the quality i don't have anything else. I was doing them in little white buckets under a florescent light in a cabinet lined with Mylar bubble wrap when i switched i used a 400 watt M H and made a reservoir with a pump running the nutrients to a tub while my plants sit in the water I put them in hydro coral rocks i have changed the kind of nutrients once, its my second time changing the water and was told to use plain water with some pH down for right now Ive also been told to keep the temperature to around 65 - 75 degrees, and is allege growing in a hydro system good for the plants, the rest look alright but not sure. if you need more info e-mail me please, any help! sorry about explaining my setup i don't know the name of it

I bet the bigger ones roots are fried.
I'll tell you what hydro is quicker, but soil is for sure better. I say that with regards to taste, high, and ease of grow. I've seen it posted here before, and its true; if you fuck up something in a hydro system it's going to happen quickly and without quick correction plants will not do well. Soil is more of an autopilot. and if something is wrong with a soil grow you have some time to figure it out and fix it, without loosing a batch. I've done both and I'm sticking with soil.
