I will be culling another plant based on the sex of this one so being new I wanted to be sure. I am running\ran out of space for them all as I didn't expect such a good Female ratio.

Still a little too early to tell. That bulb could open up into a flower or a seed.

I'd say it's female though. But I'd wait a little longer. Why, how long has it been vegging for?

And switch 'em to 12/12 real quick. You'll know within a week which are female and male and that will still be too early for any males to do any damage.

They are at 6 weeks. I flipped them to 12/12 last night. I wanted to be able to center 3 under the light. 3 I already know are girls. Really I'll only keep 2 but the third will stay until they outgrow the room again. Then I'll be in the same situation but at least i will know they are all female.

damn, that's my best plant. might have to call in hospice and get some grief counseling. maybe a little service. say something nice about it.

How long do you think until I have to get it out? They are still tiny. That camera does a nice job on the zoom.

Males can pop out flowers like crazy. If your grow environment is really dialed in it can happen overnight and fuck up everything.

I can tell it's a male because of the shape of the pod... a female preflower will never look like that and would have a pistil or two showing by this point.

You can wait for a while longer if you don't have any females already in flower. You might put a few bits of pollen in the air by waiting and that pollen may cause a few seeds in your females later on if it lingers but it won't ruin the whole crop. The real danger is if you have a bunch of fully flowering females and then a male flower sheds pollen... that's when shit really gets ugly

That's what happened to me... I hadn't checked my seedlings in 48 hours and by the time I did shit was too late... I'll be making hash from my crop now

It's still early though. Let it grow a bit longer and keep an eagle eye on the plant so you know when to yank it if in fact it is a male. Good luck!

Looks like a male to me, but wait an week. Male pollen sacs are easy to indentify before they open up. I usually see them a week or 2 after the flip. They don't usually release any pollen until 2 weeks or so after that not before.

Doesnt look obviously male to me but ive not seen pre-flowers like that on any plant ive grown before (ive never grown a male plant mind) fingers crossed it turns good.

updated pics. This is an awesome plant but I'm just not sure I can devote any more time or space to it if I can't figure it out for sure.
