Help! I transplanted rootbound plant

So I transplanted my biggest girl from a 7 gallon bucket a week ago, and put her in the ground. Was a pain in the ass btw. But I had no choice. Roots were coming though the drainage holes and were just laying on the ground when I lifted the pot. Now a week later, my happiness has turned to sadness as my bottom leaves have started yellowing. Im thinking the roots are still tangled. I usually breakup the rootball a bit, but I was trying to do this one as safe and as quick as possible. Will the roots eventually start growing into the new soil? Or will they continue to grow in circles? Btw, the plant isn't wilting. Just growing slowly. Usually when I transplant, they explode. Will it be ok? Should I take it out of the hole and break up the circling roots. Is it too late? PLEASE HELP! Anyone ever transplanted a rootbound plant without breaking up or cutting the circling roots? If so, howd it turn out? I also fimmed all the tops after the transplant. Could that also be contributing to the bottom leaves turning yellow? Sorry for the long post. Thanks.

are you over watering in the new hole ?
No. But its been raining all summer it seems like. Plants don't even get a chance to dry out before it rains again. Everything is growing so slooooooooooow. Gonna be a bad year for me. Hope this one turns out ok. So do roots eventually come untangled? They were circling like crazy. Thanks
