hello people , my grow box is getting to 35 C because my 250w hps is puting out so much heat .
i was thinking about making my own cool tube but not a tube and just a sheet of glass underneath the light so the exhaust can easily bring the heat out , but dont know what type of glass i will need , anyone know ???
any other methods of reducing the temps in my grow room ?
i need help quick as i have some seedlings that are in my garden atm but the weather is meant to start getting colder so will have to get them in the grow box soon

Best, and cheapest way, is to get a 24 case of bottles water, and freeze it, and each day put 1 or 2 in, and replace the next day, you will have to monitor the temp to see how many bottles is optimal for your needs.

The first and easiest method is to use a fan, like Steve says. You can use one large fan to blow air upwards to your light, so that the hot air is blown away.
Optionally you can add some small Pc fans for air circulation around the plants.
If it helps you can always set your 12/12 cycle to be on during night (cooler outside = easier to cool in your tent).

This right here, is a super good idea. It's what I do. during the winter it saves on heating as at night, the coldest time its running and heating your room. And during the summer it saves on cooling, because the lights are not generating heat during the hottest point during the day. It goes against your natural inclination because you think of night as night, but if you raise them on it, its night to them.

People grow successfully in Arizona, where even with air conditioners running at full tilt, the best we can do is sometimes 80F, and that's before turning lights on. Just sayin', when I read people's ideas of what constitutes "high" temps, and their high temps are lower than the coolest days of our dreams, I sort of just laugh.
