Help germinating

got 3 new seeds.
Two cracked within 24hrs. So I put soil in a solo cup 2 days ago, watered the soil and put the seeds in their own cup. Well checked this morning and they haven't done anything. Still look the same. Should I take them back out and put them back in paper towel until they germinate more or should I just leave them in the cups ? They're on 18/6 lighting in my big tent. Have a 75w led 10 inches above them.

Will they be okay if I put them back in the papertowel on my heat mat? Or should I just leave them alone?

I would just leave them in the soil. Did you see a white root coming out of the seed when you planted it or they only just cracked? Even if they had only just cracked leave them in moist soil and they will come up, will just take a day or two longer. Also seeds have been germinating in soil on their own for millennia, the paper towel method is really just for fun and to give us something to do and monitor the process.

After they've cracked in paper they can still take 2/3 days to pop through, personally I'd leave them they'll be fine and if you go digging you could break the tap root

It's not unusual for that to happen, you could look at them in 6 hours and it be 1" tall, the tap root grows down before the (cotledons iirc) the 1st two non leafs you see come out.

No. I dump out cups of medium with multiple fresh seedlings. Shake the medium off and drop that long taproot straight down a hole. They never miss a beat. Just leave yours alone.

Will leave them be and let them do their thing. Also Bob gnats are gone. Got some good neem oil. Made a proper mix and treated. Will treat again Monday just to be safe but as of now. First round did a number on them.

I've been caught out a couple of times using h2o2/nitrozyme to soak seeds the next day they've had a tap root almost 1" long, i done as hotrodharley described but you need to care there fragile.
As my useless but intesting piece of info, I've broken a tap root in half and it still grew up to be a big girl ;-)
