I was planning on a vegg light with Vero13...but I would prefer cxa2540 since they are so cheap (I hope there's 5000ºk at a decent bin!) And 11 will be cool!

well ordered CREE CXA2540 W2 30G 9 $11,50 each from kingbrite , orderer 9 FN14074_STELLA-HB from Verical
ordered from mouser 1 HLG-240H-C700A Mean Well i think for the driver i must wait long time before mouser ship to me.

Is it only 3000ºk or does he have 5000ºk

Serial wiring!
It is a very nice and efficient set up...it is 56% efficient I guess...same as cxb 3590@1400mA or better!
Do you know how many watt are the 2540@700mA?

my idea is if first type of SolarEclipse by Amare Tech have 6 cxa2530 and is good grow led my whit 9 cxa2540 is better and more cheap, at least I hope.

Cool I'm going to order some for test build and micro project =D

About cxa 2530 5000ºk 56% @500mA it is supraspl who gave me the idea...with an hlg-185-500b! To vegg a 3.5*3.5!
And I talk about the bin kb sell...I can't remember which one! ??

Cutter cause they are about the same $9.

I'm running 6@ 570ma and 4 @700ma in a 2.5x2.5 (80cms squared or about 6'.

Recycling an old out of date grow light into what you made for not a whole lot of money is great. Congratulations. I think that probably all the posters expressing a interest in building something like this themselves would appreciate learning about your modifications in more detail. Are there any pictures of when you made the light?

I'm getting the cxb2530 from Cutter for about A$13 here in Aus with next day delivery.

I was prepared to look into the 2540's but they aren't going to be worth the extra cost and delay to me.

Hope your grow goes well I'll be watching
