HELP..Flowering Week 5.. possible N problems (pics)

Long story short I need help. I have 7 White Widow and 4 Train Wreck plants. They were given to me the weekend before thanksgiving. I vegged and lst’d them until around February 15th under a 250w Metal Halide, and 4 bulb Hydrofarm T5 setup. They were put into 12/12, and I added a 400w HPS and took out the T5’s. So as of the middle of February they have been getting 250w MH and 400w HPS. I planted them in Miracle Grow Moisture Control. The WW are in 2 gallon pots, the Wreck is in 3. The reason for the small pot size was space, but with a bit of crazy thinking, I somehow came across a bigger place to put them. I wanted to switch them back to veg so they could get bigger, but was too afraid I would hermie them out. By the way, this is my second grow and my first was bag seed. All but 1 went hermi, and I finished them out. WASTE OF TIME. Any rate, the girls are now around week 5 or 6, the leaves on all of my TW are going bright yellow. One of my WW plants leaves are all yellow and getting necrotic spots. I have been using a Future Garden 3 part nutrient series. Grow, Micro, and Bloom. Also with every watering I add 1-2 tablespoons molasses per gallon H20. My water is tap water with a ph of 7. Three days ago I watered with molasses and added seabird guano tea to the mix at half strength to up the Nitrogen, but haven’t seen anything yet. Also, I just added a CO2 injection system to my setup. Temps are around 70 degrees F, and my space is wrapped in Mylar. I have also been foilar feeding them with a diamond nectar solution every 7-10 days. I don’t know what else to address so I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Any help would be awesome. Its just Miracle Grow Moisture Control Soil.. I don't really know much about the nutes in the soil. I only know about the future garden nutes they recieve.

...okay, well....miracle grow usually has fertilizers in it that are time released. The more you water your plants, the more of the fertilizer will be released... This is why most donot use it to grow MJ.
...your next go around, try better potting soil. Most of everyone loves Fox Farm's Ocean Forest.

No offense but that doesn't help my current situation. Im not asking for advise on my next grow, but advise on what to do with my current one.

Well, it sounds like you are using plenty of nutes, so I'm guessing that for some reason, they aren't accessible to the plants. And given that you're in week 5 of bloom, it's likely that it's due to the PH becoming acidic over time. I had the same exact problem when i was using that same soil. I never added any lime in the beginning, so I ended up flushing with some lime added, to bring the PH back up, while at the same time cleaning out the medium. I'd say that it would be a good idea to do the same. Even if you find that it isn't the problem, it'll still be appreciated by the plants. They love a nice clean soil.

Also, it's pretty odd that all but one of your plants turned hermie on ya. Are you sure you don't have a light leak somewhere? That's the most common reason for plants turning hermie. Also, sometimes bagseeds come from hermie plants, so are pre-disposed to being hermies, genetically. That could also be a reason. Hmm....

On that go round, all the plants that I had were of the same kind of herb. The one that didn't hermie was a different strain. For some reason that one only gave me two seeds, and both were on little nugs. the rest of the smoke from that one was superb, but the hermie smoke was worthless to me. I don't have any light leaks, I think those seeds were from a hermie plant to begin with. So if I was to flush the soil, how would I go about it? just run clean water through the soil for a while or what? Ive never done a flush so I really dont know what im doing

It looks like you are getting lockout of your N. Might be from your ph being out of whack or running your nutrient too hot. I would try fulshing a couple of them and letting them dry. Then feed with 1/2 strength nutes and see how they take it. if you get a positive response, do it to the rest of them.

Yeah, pretty much. Most people recommend using 3X the pot's volume(ex....15 gallons for a 5 gallon pot), but I've found that 2X does the job just fine, and saves some time and effort. Anyway...yeah, you just pour PH'ed water through the top and let it run out the bottom, making sure you pour it evenly over the top, cleaning out all the soil, instead of just hitting the center, edges, etc.....I water with 2 liter bottles, and drilled small holes in one of the bottle caps and use that as a sprinkler. It works really well, and makes for a nice even watering, like it's raining outside.

Also, it's nice to have a PPM meter and a PH meter to monitor your runoff as you flush, because then you'll know when you're finished, rather than guessing. When the runoff get's down to about the same PPM as the water you are pouring in, the soil is almost clean. Same with the PH.

Would nutrient lockout explain the brown spots on the widow? At first I thought it was bugs, but there are no bugs. A friend of mine told me that they would turn yellow at the end of thier life, but its only week 5 or 6, and the train wreck still has like 5 or 6 more weeks to go. From what I was told, Train Wreck takes up to 12 weeks

Awesome. Thanks for all the info. At first I thought that it was being caused by the foliar feed i give them because it started showing up after I started misting them. I figured it was burned spots on the leaves from the droplets of liquid, but it was only happening to a couple. It interesting that the ones primarily under the hps were the ones having troubles and becoming discolored, but the ones primarily under the halide are fine. Very green and vibrant. even though the others are not showing any signs of problems would it be best to flush them all? i will start with one of them and see what happens. I guess what Im asking is do you think it would be beneficial to flush all of them just because they have never been flushed at all? also, the 3 part nutrient regime is in the flowering mode so im only using vigor and bloom.. I haven't added anything with Nitrogen since bloom started until three days ago when I added seabird guano to my water and molasses. All the nutrients Ive ever given are at half strength. Im afraid to give them more than that.. and Ive been watering like every 4 to 5 days..I switch between nutes/molasses and water/molasses on my waterings.

i think i burnt mine from using high P ferts ontop of having a N deficiancy.

Stick with miracle grow for the future but get yourself organic miracle grow potting mix in the brown bag. Get perlite & mix it 2 parts miracle grow to 1 part perlite. I've used foxfarm on my first grow & had good results, Second grow I used the miracle grow potting mix in brown bag & my results were the same. I recommended it !! Save your money, no need for foxfarm unless you have money to burn.

The organic works just fine. You wont have any setbacks from it whatsoever

^I used both without any problems, as long as i added a bunch of perlite before i used it. If it didn't have fungus gnats in it, I'd probably still be using it, actually.lol

So I flushed three days ago, and yet to see any improvements. Am I supposed to add a nute dosage after the flush? I understand that since they have been around for a while, the soil def needed a good flush, I just wasn't sure if I should add new nutes at this point or not.

ive been having the same problem dude. From what I found out it's either nutruent lockout from too low PH, or it's overfeeding with nutes that contain too little N. flushin is the way too go, but in case of too little N, you should nute em with nutes high on N right after flushing. just to get the balance right. I did that to my plant a coouple of days ago. I wouldnt say they recovered totally, but the definetly got better... best of luck
