Help! First time, seeds germinated, now what?!

I checked this morning and I have 6 beautiful white widow seeds with tap roots just barely sticking out of each of them. They should be ready to transplant by this evening I’m hoping. I got a tray holding six rapid root plugs, given to me by an indoor grow store. This is not where I had planned to plant the germinated seeds but the store did not have the soil I need and won’t for a few days. Please help with these burning questions I have!
Will the root plugs work if I plant the germinated seeds in them?
How far down should I plant the germinated seeds in the root plug?
How long will the seedling grow in the root plug?
Directly after planting the seeds, what type of temp. Humidity, and light schedule should I do?
Also at what distance should I place the light after planting? I do not want to burn my seedlings.
many and all help/advice is so greatly appreciated!

Get in your time machine, go back a few months, and put in some time and effort learning to grow. Read a lot and take notes.

Starting completely clueless and begging strangers to tell you what to do is pretty sad.

No actually what’s sad is you taking time out of your day to criticize me. You have no clue what I’ve put time and effort into. Mind you’re own business and **ck all the way off. Thanks.

I always germ directly into root riot or rapid rooter plugs. I'm not sure if I would put an already germinated seed into one, but maybe someone else has. But you don't have a choice if you don't have any medium, so go for it. I would cut the plug down the side and carefully lay the seed in it. Keep them under a light, keep the temps warm and even and they should be fine. Don't over water, keep them as moist as a wrung out sponge. Don't use a humidity hood for long, if at all. I take it off as soon as the sprout emerges, and I'm tempted not to use one at all. Transplant them into your medium once they've sprouted out.

Hi Greenmomma, welcome to RUI

I use Rapid Router plugs every time I start a plant from seed, they work wonders.

The trick to using them after the seed has germinated, because you're not getting the seed and tail into that little hole now that the shell's split, is to take a pair of scizzors and snip down the side of the plug so it will open like a book when you unbend it.

Place the sprout, with the shell still attached, in the open book about a quarter of an inch from the top opening. Let the book close and your seedling is protected and in the perfect environment.

"How long will the seedling grow in the root plug?"

The entire life of the plant, the plug becomes part of the plant stem.

.

"Directly after planting the seeds, what type of temp. Humidity, and light schedule should I do?"

75-85F, average humidity, 18 light/6 dark.

.

Distance from light depends on your light, what do you have? You're using your light as a heat source for the sprouts.

Yes exactly like Hobbes said! I germinate in paper towel then put in RR after it has a nice tap root bout an ¹/⁸ of an inch or more. I also tear a little piece of the RR off the bottom and plug the hole so no light gets in and in a day or so you will have a seedling.
