Help!! First time grower

new grower and don't know how much lighting i need. My closet set up is 6ft long x 2ft wide x 8ft tall. I am looking at two 400w HPS/MH from HTG suppky since my closet is longer than wide or should i go for 1 1000w light. I read on this site that those light movers are a good idea. Could i get a 400w light and a mover and be okay with my room size? with this size of a room how many plants should i be able to grow? this closet is located in the bathroom, it has a door, but am wondering if steam from the shower will be an issue.

I'd go with the two 430 hps lights. You're going to need ventilation no matter which way you go though.

2 lights are always better than one because it covers more of the plants.

yeah definitely....make sure you get some air cooled reflectors, to pump as much of the light heat out, as you can.

I live in an apt and am having trouble setting up ventalation. cant't really mod the apt. What would be the easiest way to vent my room? I would like to keep cost for lights and vent system under $500. Its cheaper but not by much to buy a 600w light with mover. would two 400w make a big dif. also what the dif between htg and sun system quality. one has built-in ballast. kaya seeds are on their way. post pic soon. growin' hydro.
