Temps - High 80s, Low of 70ish.
Soil - Miracle Gro Organic Choice
Water - Filtered tap water, ph around 6
Run off ph - Not sure
Lights - CFLs
Nutrients - None at all
Age - About 6 weeks.
.
The fans leaves seem to be losing color at the tips, spreading inward and dieing from the tips inward.
I've had some nice grows already and the only change with this one is using the MG soil over Fox Farms to see how it went. With that said, i've seen this exact symptoms with some of my other grows....

Are they consuming themselves because they need nutrients really bad? Looking at pictures online im not sure what to think other than the plants are just slowing loosing there foliage, any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

Thanks for the input guys. I think i'll flush them and see how it goes. Maybe the MG soil's ferts are to harsh for the plants... Thanks guys

Wha? Wait, MG organic with "NO nutes at all"?... I might be wrong but I don't think that can burn plants by itself like that. The plant is about 6 weeks old and looks like it's been flowering for 2 of them. I think it's starving. Has it been in the dark since seed?

If there is time release ferts in the soil flushing will only make matters worse.
Interesting point, FresnoFarmer. I ran a quick search and found conflicting posts on the topic. I guess the problem is that unless amended with perlite, MG Organic doesn't drain great, and flushing can result in stagnant water, lack of oxygen at the roots and yes, more burn.

I shouldn't have been so quick with my response. Unless the soil has a lot of perlite added, seems the best thing to do is 1) water sparinglly and live with some burn for a while or 2) transplant.

I did add perlite and a little vermiculite to the mix. I researched nute burn some more and see the symptoms now. I realize flushing could worsen the problem if the nutes are time released. Just gonna suffer through it and learn from this experience. Back go FFoF I go! Thanks for the reply guys.

It's the start clorosis low magnesium . 1/2 tbs of Epsom salt per gallon and foliar spray them real good for a day or so. Add cal mag to your regimen of watering. The salt will leave a residue it just washes off. I put them in the shower to rinse

re-pot into a gentler mix, that is balanced in minerals, give them a good watering. check your soil's ph, not the water's ph. the soil will buffer the water, not the other way round. MG is salt......salt is alkaline. I hate!........super phosphates.

Fair enough, gonna up the circulation in the tent, get a higher cfm exhaust fan. With the phresh filter my current fan is over worked and under powered.

also, I don't know where you're taking your temperature readings from but they should be from the top of the canopy . If you have a thermometer tucked in the corner or hanging on the wall of and it's reading 89 your canopy temperatures are probably well into the 90's
