I was, until today, mixing a 4 Gallon VEG formula of a maximum concentration of 2.5 ml/L Floranova Grow 7-4-10 and 2 ml/L of Thrive-Alive B-1 1-1-1.
Honestly I think I could have made it a bit stronger, regardless, I'm switching to organic Grotek Blooming Essentials 0-1-4. How can I use the 2 previous nutrients in conjunction with the Grotek in a balanced flowering solution for HYDRO?? In the meantime I've mixed a solution of about 11 mL of both the Floranova and Blooming., which is very likely a weak solution for my 4 Gallon DWC.
On the back of Grotek it says "Use along with a high quality all purpose fertilizer."

Get a meter for measuring parts per million. What type of system are you running?

I'm running a VERY low maintenance Deep Water Culture (DWC). I'm honestly wingin' it. No meters nothing i don't even bother ph'ing. i have simply followed all manufacturers suggested solution preperations. I'm kind of just doing that to show that the system can be run without having to tinker daily and use expensive equipment.

P.S. I will just watch for yellowing as it is most commonly an indication of under nutes.

yo yo disregard this thread as I have acquired Floranova Bloom and a couple other items. No need to mad scientist a concoction anymore! Today though I was in the hydro shop lookin at meters and there's a real nice multi-meter, the long stick-like one that lights up, is on for $150. Hopefully i can get it soon.
