The stems harden during flowering, hurry up and bend the top branches before the stems harden and bending becomes difficult they will get a bit taller but should pretty much stop vertical growth around week four of flowering

Start at about two inches from the top of the plant and tie a string to it but not tightly so the branch does becomes constrained take the other end of the string and tie it to somewhere lower down on the mainstem, the top that has been pulled down should then be at about 90 degrees relative the mainstem. it will also increase your yield. once the stem has been trained you may later release the string but keep a close eye in the plants if you do because the stem might want to straighten back out and you will burnyour plants

sounds to me like your growing a sativa type plant. It will get really tall. Your almost to the point however where they will begin to fall on their own from the weight of the buds. If you tie them down now they are going to end up in a pile of mess with plant branches laying all over the place, which maKES HARVESTING A BITCH! If you can raise your lights just a bit so it doesn't burn them, the plants should start to slow down soon. eventually you wont be able to keep the plants standing upright. Take my word for it. This happens to me every time. I use bamboo sticks to hold the branches up.

work the stem gently, don't try to just crank it over. start lower on the mainstem and go up to create a gradual curve in the stem, not an actual 90 degree angle but a nice curve, however if you accidentally break one all is not lost you can bandage it

Tieing down the plants will not create a mess, only weak plants will fall from the weight of the buds, by tying them over the stem will thicken and become stronger. I have never in my life had to stake up a plant I have to keep them under control!

bend em just try not to cut off the flow of food through the stem. its easy to over prune hard to over bend

If you have ever grown a sativa type you will always have problems keeping the plants standing upright. Maximizing bud production will cause a lot of weight at the top of the plants unless you are flowering really early when the plants are still small. I veg for 30 days which result in 6 foot tall plants at harvest time. Even in nature you will will have top heavy plants that will begin to fall over. Most indica strains will stay short and bulky and not have this problem.JIMMY44 if you have a miracle cure that I have not figured out yet I am open to suggestions, however, I have been at this for some time and have tried many things. I just work around the issue of plants falling over. Mabye I SHOULDN'T GROW SUCH HUGE AND DANK BUDS!

I think the reason why I never have a problem is because I train the plants somewhat early on in development so it always has to compete with being pulled down and suppercropped so that by the time bud production begins I have nice sturdy stalks that can handle the weight, I also have much more experience with this outdoors then Inside so that might make a difference
