Concentric cracking is usually genetic. Either skin was too tough, fruit was growning too fast, maybe some sun scalding, or fruit didn't regulate water pressure in the cells.
Radial cracking is from inconsistent watering, you can add some glycene betatine to help reduce abiotic stress in plants. Really works well for plants in planters.

its a bacterial virus, it dosen't harm the flavour, but you need to cut a criss cross in the bottom of them, drop them into boiling water and then into cold water, this will loosen the skins, you then just peel them and use as you like
