help! deficiency or root rot?

View attachment 2786837View attachment 2786838View attachment 2786839 this plant is around 45 days old and ive given it a 1/4 dose of mg singles and ive fed it twice, 2 weeks apart. im growing in a perlite/peatmoss mix so I started off with no nutes. and I have 2 60w cool white cfls on it anyone know whats going on? I was looking a zink and sulfur deficiency but im not sure and figured ide ask around.

it's always a cal/mag deficiency.

Aren't perlite and peat moss sterile before sold?

I think that is call growing "hempy style" you might want to look at that sub forum.

in hydro your material you plant in is inert so plants need ASAP food early and often.

In soil the Nutes are in the soil, but the plant uses them up, then u add Nutes.

Sounds like your hempy pots are like my hydro?

I am a Noob so would a well practiced grower chime in?

I see very little perlite in your mix I more in my soil along with vermiculite.
Both inert but in mix to help w water retention.

is the peat sterilized or does it contain Nutes??
I have never used peat, or Fred for that matter, lol

I said I started without nutes and the peat moss is just a sterile soil medium that absorbs water well so I decided to use it, you can add nutes to it just like any other soiless medium. I just need to know what my plant is trying to tell me haha

Plant is probably looking for Nutes, I use Fox Farm for hydro, they have soil version also.
