HELP...Busted and Petrafied

it makes me annoyed aswell ti think that the drug squad would be expectin ti burst thru doors to face a mad man wi 2 rottweilers and a shotgun with me they found 2 budgies and a crochet hook... this law is so fake, how can it be a law if the only victim is the defendant and how can they charge yi on the potential of a plant rather than the plant, they took my hemp powder yet left my hemp soap hemp shampoo and hemp seeds i use for cooking... the scarey part is that im caught up in a law where the people passing justice know nothing about it, same the court i have to attend edinburgh sherif court, iv read history files cases from this court, cases from the 16th century, wer innocent woman and men wer being burned as witches for growing medicinal herbs... now we laugh at the idea of this actually going on back then, we say the shamefulness of this was due to a lack of education and over superstition at that time.. 400 year later im in the exact same boat only i wont be burned at the stake as a witch, ill still be shat all over tho, its horible

You've done everything right as far as I can see and let your solicitor do the talking. The only thing I can stress is to say this is your first grow but with the leaf they could throw that back at you. Be adamant about it.

As long as you don't have previous criminal history the Scottish courts are not going to give a shit what happens for a couple of plants; heroin and class A's are a much greater concern in Scotland. My guess is slap on wrist and a £300-400 fine. For growing a plant?!

o im from the uk..i fell for you my friend i really do. this where i tell you all ive had a lot of running's with the law when i was younger and ended upo with 6 years in prision so i have some idea of are justice system and i know work in the substance misuses field helping people been released from prison stay away from heroin. i know Scotland had slightly different laws.(but cannabis are the same) but you will at end up with a fine. a few hundred qiud. tell them you're self not through youre brief. that you grow these to help with youre medical condition(that when medicated made all youre family life better) and that it stopped you from taking and spending money that you and youre family didnt have on buying cannabis of the streets and i give you my word you will walk out with a fine. as long as you have no previous. for cultivating..

thanks for your info I very much hope so friend, as said this is all very true for me, i was scared because i imagine every body who is charged uses the medication card however all you said is exactly true with me, the medication i get from the doctor for epilepsy doesn't help me much, cannabis literally wipes it out it also helps my body after a fit. and like you say previously i was borrowing money of my mum to try n get hold of street weed as i needed it that bad, being charged £13 for a tiny dry gram of rubbish, plus with my dad dien a few weeks ago my mum just couldnt go on if I was jailed aswell... iv never had any kind of drug conviction what so ever.

so why did they come in on you?

I am sure everything will be alright. I don't know anything about scotland really, but it seems that it is just such a victimless crime that hurts no one I can never understand what the issue would be.

Mate there's noway you'll go to jail for such a small grow op. I'm from N.I and Ive had a few run ins with the law over here for drugs and other shit, all I've ever had have been fines, at the most £500. As long as u explain to them everything uve said on here you'll be grand, probably just a fine. There police are bastards and probably just hoping that youd have a lot more or at least no a lot more about someone else. My advice would be get it dealt with and move away from that area to fuck, get urself somewhere else to live and nxt time you start growin plants, do it right, get yourself a small tent, carbon filter etc! Should've listen to that guy that mentioned the smell. Keeping at you're solicitor about your medical conditions too that always seems to help!

the feelings of my life being in some corrupt authority's hands is the scary part a think, everytime i try n go to sleep i picture some big posh judge looking down at me playin aboot wi ma life and not givin a shit. and your right mate a dont belong in this place its a tower of crime, down n outs, sex offenders, only natural the polis would be all over it. if it was up ti me ad liv in a wee cottage by the sea or in the hills away fi all dictation and authority coz here even being an innocent hermit is breaking the law lol.... that feeling of strangers creeping thru my personal stuff, the girlfriends knickers.. its a feeling of utter humiliation and violation.

ironic the next day police wer posting grass cards thru mine and the neighbours doors, the usual (if you know of any DRUG crime phone this number) type. cant wait till the day this idiotic cover up law is exposed ...

Hey Kemo, sorry to hear about your troubles. You have to relax. First of all, they will not put you in jail for such a small amount, especially with a medical condition. Too much liability and expesne for them. Do you have the equivalent of our D.A. (District Attorney)? He is the one who actually decides what charges are to be filed. Perhaps if you go toalk to the person who decides what charges are brought up you can talk with them and explain what you said about burning folks at the stake 400 years ago, you have a medical condition that the pot relieves and supresses! Further, by growing it yourself, you are being responsible by not encouraging the illegal sales and the violence of the trade. Make yourself out the hero. I would try that before facing a judge, and they are free to talk with, unlike attorneys who really only care about your money.

Hey dude feeling for ya as well. See what your lawyer can do about getting the search warrent tossed out, a funny smell seems like a pretty flimsy reason for a warrent. Also make sure they have previous experience with theses types of cases, ask em right off too.

My stupid old roomate got our appartment raided and i got pinched with 2oz of shrooms, and a couple of grams of hash and pot. Our lawyer got the warrent tossed out and they dropped all the charges. Roomate got off on everything except the trafficking to a narc he did not much the lawyer could do about that.

Go to the UK Grower's thread and ask for 'Dura72' or ' Supersillybilly'. They both live in Scotland and they've both been busted (dura for sure). And ftr, they're on RIU still and still growing too . I think you'll be ok if you only had those few plants and you have epilepsy. From everything I';ve heard it sounds like the UK is a lot easier on growers than most places in the states. Good luck man. you've already done what you can do by getting the lawyer. Try not to worry to much and stay low for a while. Try thr Scottish Grower's thread too.

cheers clayton I looked it up and our equivalent of the district attorney is apparently the prosecutor fiscal, i had thot aboot writing them a letter explaining il look into that. Thats part of my fear the fact any judge wouldn't be able to hear my story on why i actually grew.

n silverserf, im gonna look into that as well, this point had confused me a bit, I couldn't think of any informers or any enemies i had who would grass, plus very few people know aboot it or even where I live i must be the most quietest guy in the world, its clear from the ins and outs and smells tho that this flat is full of dealers or at least smokers.

No worries, my friend. You WILL get a chance to explain your story to the judge, the idea is to not ever have to. If you can convince the prosecutor fiscal it isn't in their best interest to waste their time or money, you won't have to. Perhaps even plea bargain out to some community service. Whatever you do, try your best to keep the conviction low enough that you can easily get out of there and into a more "friendly" place. All the best!!!

any real judge will see that what you had is no way a comercialy viable producer of buds at that point or get your lawyer to study up on pot and stuff case if he dont know hell get walked on cause he wont know what hes talking about thats very important
