I have been using molasses for the last 9 days. somebody recommended 1 tbs per gallon. well, its killing my plants. There has been a few handfulls of dead leaves. in the last nine days from what were healthy green plants... hopefully they live 4 more weeks.

I was told unsulfered molasses would be fine. Found some organic molasses. My leaves are turning yellow with brown dead spots then dying all together. not good, i have 4 weeks left to flower...

Yeah I do not think its the molasses killing your plant the only thing it does it give the plant extra surgars and stuff it need if the leaves are turning a yellowish?????? That just the way they do when the are almost done its natural for them to do that. I checked on my plants today and gave them there dose of molasses. There outside the leaves are yellow redwith sum purple in the bud. Going to leave mine out til it frost. Its sets up a diffrent type of high everything changes color even the tich. Good luck they will be fine

I have a skunk#1, 5 weeks into flower and the plant and the buds are small. It may be because I was shooting for a short plant and started flower when it was only 4 inches tall. If she does not pick up, hell I will be lucky to get 3/4 oz off her. But as long as it is fire smoke I will live and learn.

i just start flowering today at 14 inches and im using FF bloom should i even bother with the blackstrape. this is my first grow so if theres a possibility that they could die, should i just wait till my next run or should i give it a go, 20-30% sounds like its worth it to me. lemme know, any pointers too are welcomed.

a little late on this reply, but i did some research and too much molasses can cause potassium toxicity... If my leaves continued to dye at the rate they were, my plants would be finished in no less than two weeks... I know yellowing is normal, but the leaves were turning yellow with crusty brown spots, edges, and tips. Thats not normal. I flushed my plants and i think they will be ok. Only two were in bad shape. On the upside the buds were looking Bigger and better, they dont seem to mind too much potassium ;-).

I use grandma's unsulfered molasses from walmart and it has never killed my plants. I use shultz bloom plus 10-54-10 and use half of what directions say. I don't premix my molasses because it was getting white chunks in it so now I just poor a little in my feeding bottle and mix well then water with that every other feeding. I use plain water in between. I have scotts hyponex soil 7-3-1
