help! banana kush not turning amber

Hey all. I've had my banana kush flowering for 9 weeks now and everything is still clear! Not even cloudy. Everything else was cut in the past two weeks and is turning out amazing. Why is my banana not maturing? It still is growing white pistils but does not appear to be gaining weight. I cut nutes two weeks ago in preparation for harvest but maybe it was too soon? I've read about some strains not turning amber but I know it should at least turn cloudy. It appears to be gaining no weight at all and I do not want to miss my harvest window. Any experienced growers have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Tell me more about your medium and nutrient feedings.

Hydro or Soil?

If hydro or coco, what nutrient line do you use and what are your ppms? Disclose what your ppms of your water is BEFORE you feed and AFTER. If you dont test ppm runoff you should start.

If you are using coco, during every feed do you have 25% runoff of water?

Without knowing more about your situation and system, my guess would be a pH lockout from ppm buildup in your medium or incorrect pH feedings and that may be locking out nutrients that allow your plant to fully develop.

Are your flowers lacking density? How many times how you grown this banana clone before, if at all?

Thank you for your quick response. I am growing in fox farm ocean forest with light warrior and perlite. 600w hps. This plant is in 3 gallon round pot. Not sure about run off. PH of soil is 6.1. The rest of my plants grown with the same method turned out amazing. This one just seems to have a problem finishing. I will post pictures tomorrow when the light cuts back on

I am feeding the fox farm line with their schedule at 1/4 strength beginning the week before flower as the soil has plenty of nutes to get me by until then. Humidity is low because I am in Denver. I also add cal-mg every feed and molasses to regular water in the last month of flower.

They seem to have some girth and are clones from a dispensery near me. All of these plants were and this one is the only one slacking although it has appeared normal.through out its life

Don't just look at the very top nugs. Check the trichomes 6 inches or more from the top. Some strains just continue putting out new calyxes. Some also have a very short harvest window and can happen relatively fast. Definitely seen strains that people swear are 9 weekers but end up actually being 10. Other factors could make it early or later than usual with different stresses or growing styles.

Soil, and from what you say about your mix and feedings, unlikely it's locking out nutrients.

Second what Calicocalyx stated above.

My apologies, I thought you were saying your trichomes arnt turning amber under a microscope lens.

Not all strains finish the same way. The old trick of 75% amber hairs is obsolete. The best way to see if your flowers are finished is to purchase a 20x-40x microscope, which should be cheap, around $20.

And as Calico stated, the top of the plant will be the last place to finish forming its calyx and trichomes. And alot of the time 9 weekers are really 10 weekers.
