Help! ASAP

Hello! I harvested a couple plants early due to the fact that they have about 35-45% mold growing on the buds and it’s spreading like wildfire. I’ve cut all I wanna cut out of it before this happened. Some are fine but I don’t want it to spread after I hang them. Can I wash them in ZerTol and hang dry? Will they still spread if I don’t wash them? Will washing them cause a longer drying session thus making them more prone to mold? Help please!

Was not much bud left in your pictures. Your not loosing much but time. Learn from it and try again. If you don't junk it all removing all those sugar leaves n fan leaves will knock a week off your dry n get it done in about 7 days

Can it be washed in peroxide, or is that only for powdery mildew?
It could, but it would be ineffective. It's not the mold per se as much as the mycotoxins which are harmful.

While reasonably effective in removing mould from sight, hydrogen peroxide does have some drawbacks: the key one being that it does not kill mycotoxins. Some mould varieties contain these dangerous carcinogens and while the visible evidence may be removed the mycotoxins may remain. Mycotoxins are potentially very harmful substances found in some mould varieties. Mycotoxins have been associated with such diseases as liver cancer and kidney failure as well as having adverse effects on the brain and nervous systems. If there is one single reason not to use hydrogen peroxide for removal, it is due to its inability to kill mycotoxins.

A buddy of mine was buying $50 ounces from an illegal sticker store, and next thing you know he was in the hospital with a lung infection. I kept telling him not to buy that shit!

We don't know 100% that's how he got sick, but most likely.

I would strongly suggest you read a bit about mold; what you're proposing is insane.

If you're feeling adventuresome, maybe make edibles and hope your gi tract does its job.
So the more I look at it, I see ants inside the buds. I think the ants died and the buds were effected. There’s no spores or powder that come out of the buds. I’ve heard of plenty of people cut bud rot out and make hash before and no one had such a strong reaction to this. Did you lose someone to mold poisoning along the Oregon trail? Why would so many others say to cut out all bad buds, wash the buds with ZeroTol and hang dry and use for hash?

“Once a bud gets hit by mold, it becomes unfit for consumption. Smoking weed with bud rot is dangerous: you really don't want fungus in your lungs. If the bud rot hasn't spread far yet, you can remove infested buds and leave the rest of the plant intact”

Do as you wish, they're your lungs; my info was to potentially help someone else from making the same mistake.

Ignore the dangers of inhaling mold at your own peril.

“It is a common outdoor fungus and can be detected in spore trap samples. The fungus is often found growing on indoor plants. Although no mycotoxin has been reported from this fungus.”

"We report the first case of an immunocompetent patient with pulmonary Botrytis sp. infection, which has not recurred after lung resection without any additional medication."

They were careful to specify that this was the first case in the immunocompetent but we've seen them in the immunocompromised. Eating them is marginally safer because the GI tract has a pH of 1 (in a healthy individual). But then you have spores which were designed to survive in harsh environments which includes short autoclave exposure!

Just gonna scrap it. I have plants in two different areas and the first set I put out June 1st, that’s the one that had the issues. They went through reveg cause the weather got nasty and the calyxes died. When the new buds grew around the dead calyxes they rotted and spread the mold. The other plants I put out in late July did not have any issues except for some ants. Gonna try some autos in the greenhouse soon. The Garlic Banana still has awhile but not as much as the Sour Joker and Gelato but they are last ones and doing good so far.
