Hi folks,
I've been lurking here ever since deciding to grow and have been collecting knowledge/supplies over the past few weeks. I decided to dive head first into growing as I've always done in my life so my first grow will be 2 plants (paradise seeds delahaze and dutch passion masterkuch out of seed) in 2 oxypot bubblers .
Here's what I've got -
6*4*10 store room
400w mh/hps lamps with magnetic ballast
120 cfm duct fan blowing air out to the bed-room. No filter needed because grow setups are something nobody has heard of here.
50 lpm air pump with 8 outlets. I'll block 6 of them and hope that each plant gets 25lpm air
20 l buckets with lids that I painted black
Grow, micro and bloom nutrients from one of the few shops with hydroponic stuff. They are generic nutes but I think they'll work
Rooting hormone, neem oil and 3% h202
Jiffy pallets since no rockwool available
Ph and ec kit. I'll be getting ph up/down but I've heard lemon juice/baking soda will do as well
I live in a third world country where I can't get all the stuff and most of my questions are regarding alternatives -
1) I can't get a proper reflector (let alone cooled ones). Can I build one out of an aluminium sheet
? I'm thinking of drilling a hole in the middle and hanging the sheet from the ceiling through chains.
2) These are the biggest size net pots that I could get (8-9 cm wide at top)
. Will they do or should I make something out of a bigger pot myself to ensure proper plant growth?
3) I can't get stuff like gold zone, hygrozome/cannazym etc. here. Are they worth the effort to contact friends in US/UK and get them here?
4) As of now the walls have whitish paint and I can't find any reflective film here. Should I leave the walls as is?
5) I'm thinking of putting an auto in soil with the plants for the 20/4 cycle and move it outside where it will get 3-4 hours of bright sunlight till harvest. Can I do this?
