I've cut one plant and wet weight is 632 grams can anyone give me a rough guess on what I'll get once dry please ?
And I'm in a bit of a desperate hurry to dry so what is the quickest possible way I can dry it ? I've had to throw it into brown bags or plastic tubs as it wasn't safe to be dryed in my tent this time due to someone thieving at my house so I had it in my wardrobe but now there's not safe either as he's been braking into my lock on the door so I'm now needing some ideas as to how I can get it dry quick and mold free anyone able to help me please?

mate im afraid for 4-5 ozs you need to dry half decently otherwise you could end up with some shitty weed, im sure you know its about airflow and temp and rh especially, unless your able to be there 24/7 your in trouble cant you box it and move it to somewhere else you trust? could try the cardboard box but without the filter etc it wont be hard for them to smell it out eh??

From wet to dry its about 75% So about 4 to 5 oz. lots of ways to quick dry can use oven or microwave I think. Look on google the oven is the better but as said quick drying is not as good but when needs must

Get that guy to stop trying to steal your hard earned product.
Suggestions:
- Surround the drying area with bear traps.
- Hire a body guard
- Find a guy who likes breaking knee caps
- Express your Second Amendment Right, strictly so he knows you aren't messing around, lets not do anything drastic.

Unfortunately it's my teenage kid he's stolen lots off me in the past as well :(
Of cours he goes nuts saying he hasn't but of cours I know he has , so basically I become a prisoner at home unable to leave when he's home but sometimes I have no choice an he gets the oppertunaty . I've got it all out again now in the tent with fans extracting an one blowing round the room an outside the tent I have air conditioner with also takes moisture out the air . Should I put the heating on as well would that help prevent mold if the Room is a bit warmer or does that make it more chance of getting mold ? I'll stay up as late as poss so that I can keep it out and then have to pack it up few hours again while I sleep few hours . Then when he leaves in morning to go to college they can come back down to the tent . This is the only plan I can think of that I can do. I'll check after about the oven thing an maybe speed it up slightly at some point maybe . This is the last grow I'll do now I'm planning to sell all my stuff and call it a day until he's not around anymore which is so sad an gutted but there's no point if he's robbing me blind like this it's too stressful trying to guard it round the clock :(

If you want anything decent to come of your grow, do not put it in an oven, do not put it in an oven, do not put it in an oven, do not put it in an oven.

I suggest a camera, there are cheap ones that you can use, just to catch him in the act so he can't deny it. Maybe a friends house? Attic, if it's not too hot. There are a million kinds of locks you can stick on doors and windows. Still think camera is your best bet, laptop, cell phone, stuffed bears....so many types of tricky cameras to use for your own personal safety and to protect our personal possessions. Keep it legal though, don't be creepy.

Remember to keep it in the dark as much as possible.

If you try to rush dry/cure, it WILL taste different and likely not in a good way. Most notably, you might over dry it, hard if not impossible to come back from that, or under dry it and leave too much moisture in the core of the buds. Might seem dry on the outside, check it in a week and ahhh crap, too much moisture on the inside and you dropped it in a jar for a few days and mold spores are going to town.

Plant material breaks down slowly as the drying/curing process happens. Some of it, chlorophyll specifically, is soluble with water. It breaks down and then evaporates during the drying curing process with the moisture in the plant. If you rush a cure, the plant material does not have enough time to mix with the water and evaporate off. There are a TON of posts you can read about this. Some will tell you their way is the "only way" or "best way", really they should be read, used as a guideline and then modified to suit your specific palate. Some like a more green taste, some not so much. I think you will find 99% of them will tell you that trying to rush the dry/cure process is a waste of all the precious time it took you to get to the point that you are at now. At least that's the way I understand it.

Of course there is a lot more to it if you want to get real specific and all the info is out there for freezees. Lucky us.

Scratch my ideas then. But in a more serious tone is there anyway you could just talk it out reasonably with the kid? Catch him doing it and then just be like cut the shit or no more tuition for school or make him start paying rent. That way you can keep doing what you clearly deeply enjoy.
Heating degrades THC so you may not want to turn on the heat unless you just don't even care at this point which I wouldn't blame you. Also, warm air also holds more moisture so that could potentially raise the risk of mold.

Yeah, what a shame it is to grow good weed ( if its good ) then have it come down to that.

Yes I know it's not advisable to quick dry it but this is desperate times to dry it an get it jared up as quick as I can cause I'm not guarding it like this for too long or I'll be zombiefied. Camera to catch him or not is not needed as I don't need to prove it to him when I'm 100% sure I don't care what he says he hasn't I know he defo has . Confronting him with a camera would make him even more aggressive to me when I try talk to him, he's out of control in general has been for years which I don't know how to stop him acting like that. But he's nearly 18 now and can be quite frightening at times so all I can do is guard it with my life till dry enough to jar then I can put it someone's house for safety when it's not going to stink up there place. I don't fancy oven or microwave as the house is stinking enough as it is without doing that and I'd imagine either way it would defo create lots more stink here lol. Thanks for your advice everyone hopefully I'll keep awake and keep it safe from him long enough to dry it and jar it :)

Last resort, if you have some boxes somewhere in the house, that have been there for a while already. Empty one out and put whatever is inside somewhere else for now. Somewhere out of the way where it might not be noticed that anything changed, maybe even just put whatever was in there in a different box that you could then put where ever and when it was check regular things would be in it. Use the old box, put the stuff in it to dry. This will not help with the smell, but it could then "be out in the open" in a box that has already been there for a while, so no reason to look in it.

I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK. But, desiccant is the stuff you find in white packets, usually with beef jerky and stuff. It pulls moisture from the air. You can buy the stuff for cheap at walmart or hardware stores. Get some that comes in a bag like the ones you see in food, YOU DO NOT WANT IT TOUCHING THE WEED OR DUSTING IT. It seems to me, only because of your situation, that you could put the stuff in a gallon plastic bag for smell, add a couple of these packets and it would still allow it to dry. This does not allow for air flow, but it should hopefully still allow the moisture to be absorbed and removed from the bags daily, or every other day.

If your in a place that you are not concerned with bringing it along with you, I'd say you could even get away with doing this while it's in your truck...possibly. OR, since it shouldn't be smelling too much through the bag, you may be able to keep it at the before mentioned friends house.

You can get this stuff in a large bag and its "raw" not mini bags, you don't want that stuff. You really want to find the small bags with the humidity holes. Do not let it touch the product. Once again, just to be clear, I don't know if this will work, but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't. Heat does not make for a good cure, ever. If you just cannot get yourself not to use heat, then remember that THC, cannibinoid, flavanoids and terpenoids evaporate and very different temps. So you WILL be losing stuff if you go over 120 degrees F, that cuts the microwave right out. CBG goes at 120 if I remember correctly, the rest are bit higher, but you want to retain as much of all of these as you can. Bottom line, it wont taste nearly as good, you wont get as much from your product, but if you absolutely have to.....like no other way, oven on warm with a meat therm in it making sure you don't go over 100-110F. I say use a meat therm cause even when I set my oven to 170F for pasteurizing, it still will go over, maybe I have a crappy over, IDK, it's shiny so it must be good right?

I hesitate to even mention the oven as a last resort, but it seems like you might do it no matter what's said, so you might as well know about some of the lower evaporation rates. Doesn't help with the plant material though, that just takes time to break down and mix with the moisture.
