Dude i'm using a 400w HPS and the same nutes as you (except that I already use the PK13/14 which goes hand in hand with the Boost accelerator).

also note that it took 9 days of 12/12 to actually start flowering (budding).

Here's what they look like 13 days into flowering:

18 days:

yeah man I got an 80 CFM bathroom fan on my cabinet to keep my heat down... plus I have a tower fan in my cabinet that blows across my 400 watt hps... you gotta have good ventilation.... it'll make the plants look better having fresh air *and CO2* from outside the grow space....

anyhoo here are my ladies... they are really starting to yellow and one of them isn't lookin good at all.... I'm waitin for my nutes that are coming tonight so hopefully I can make them turn around abit before harvest...
These are week 4 1/2 right now.... and the bud are really starting to get firm.

I was curious about adding c02 to my grow room but don't know too much about the generator. How did the dry ice work out for you? Did you just put it in a bowl in front of your fan?

I just put it in a bowl behind my fan and had my fan blowing up through the canopy....

but if you look in the DIY section here you can find cheap ones that are better and last longer..... I've got two little ones in my cabinet right now and I'm planning on putting like 10 more LOL

Yeah... I reaffirm that flowering begins on the first day of 12/12 I saw there was some confusion...

Just chill out and relax man... This takes time...

Around week 4-5 is when they should start to look like buds... I always get worried in week three, because I'm thinking they should be bigger than they are...

Thake a look through my journal pics... https://www.rollitup.org/members/mrhowardmarks-albums-mrhowardmarks-experienced-grower-journal.html

They are all dated, so you can see what to expect growth to look like if everything's going well...

You'll want to add some circulation from another room to vent some of that hot air out... Not sure what the conversion of 30C is but ideal temps are in the 70's F...

85 is you're supplementing CO2... And dry ice won't have much, if any effect on the plants.

Be patient, and good luck with your grow.

I don't know what genetics you chose, but that sounds like you are just impatient. They never seem as big as in the centerfold of high times. Just be patient provide the best home that you can, and keep watching them and everything will just fall into place. GL

and just so you know, the last two weeks of growth goes to the buds... so that's when you will notice a difference...

Yep... Major swelling in the final stages... Weeks 5-6 for short flowering strains... Weeks 6-8 for the longer ones...

"And dry ice won't have much, if any effect on the plants."

Dry ice is CO2 in a solid form...... ;) it does have effects.... but it does evaporate off really fast... so it's not worth it in the end *I was doing it last summer when my temps were really high 33C.... 33 degree Celsius = 91.4 degree Fahrenheit* to try and bring the temp down as well as add the CO2* my plants did love it and looked a bit better for a few days after having it in there. but the DIY small generators I found on here seem to be working really well... infact I'm planning on adding some more....

close yourself in the closet during dark time and look for light leaks..light comes out light will come in at the same place......

Oh... I didn't know dry ice was co2 hahahah just kidding

If you get a co2 meter and do readings before and after adding dry ice there's no difference... I did it in my room because I was curious... I had a 12 x 12 foot room, added two 5 pound blocks right out in the open, and the co2 ppm only went from 800 to 1000... = Waste of money.

The only way it might be worth it is if you're doing a small cabinet grow or something similar... Or if you work at a beverage distributer and it's free.

One reason is it's way too expensive, another it's a pain to handle, third it barely raises the co2 levels... Etc...

yeah expensive as hell... I do a small cabinet grow so it works good :D seen a 5c drop and my plants perked up so it was all good... mind you not worth the money
